Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs and Their History

Some motorcycle gangs have been outlawed throughout the country for several of reason. It is not hard to understand why this has happened. Some motorcycle gangs have caused huge uproars when passing through towns or cities. For instance, the Hell’s Angels are a motorcycle gang that takes prides in doing wrong. This particular group was started in 1948 in Fontana, California. Their name was chosen because of death-defying names during World War I and World War II.

Members of the group drive Harley Davidson bikes and are widely known in the United States and Canada. Both the FBI and The Criminal Investigators located in Canada view the Hells Angels as a big crime group. They are big on extortion, drug dealing, and trafficking in stolen goods. Most of the riders pass themselves off as riding for parties, fundraiser and just for fun. The Hells Angels are not welcomed in many states, but there are over 200 chapters worldwide. One of Hells Angels rivals are the Mongols.

The Mongols are sometimes referred to as the Mongols of Brotherhood. This group is called a crime organization. They were originally started in Montebello, California in 1969 by Hispanic Veterans. The group was started by these veterans after being denied membership to Hells Angels because of their ethnic background. The Mongols have chapters outside of the United States. The Mongols are associated with robbery, murder, drug dealing and many other criminal activities. Their biggest rival is with the Hells Angels.

Another interesting outlawed motorcycle gang is the Bandidos. The Bandidos are also called Bandido Nation. This motorcycle gang is also known for its criminal activities all over the world. They were established in 1966 in Texas by Don Chambers. He chose the colors scarlet and gold for Bandidos because of the Marine colors in the United States army, he was a former member. The Bandidos have over 200 chapters worldwide.

The Sons of Silence are also well known motorcycle gang. This specific gang was founded in Niwot, Colorado in. It was founded in 1966. There are chapters located all over the world. The club uses the American eagle as their sign; it is over the letter A. Their motto means “until death separates us”. These logos are worn proudly on the back of their member’s jackets.

When these motorcycle gangs are mentioned people usually associate them with criminal activities.
