Online Equine Degree Colleges

by itchy fish

Online equine degrees make it possible to earn a degree in horse studies at your own pace and around your schedule. Students begin with foundational courses in horse nutrition, anatomy, reproduction and safety. They learn about horse history, riding styles and horse maintenance and management. Students can earn a bachelor’s or an associate’s degree online, and they can also choose to earn a certificate from an online equine college. They can then, at a later time, transfer the earned credits from their certification towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

Global Equine Academy

Global Equine Academy has partnered with Dickinson State University in North Dakota to provide online associate and bachelor degree programs in equine studies. Students of the Associate of Science degree in Agricultural Sales and Services can choose either the Equine Management or the Equine Training option. On the associate’s degree level, students are required to take 20 credits of equine-related courses out of their total 69 credits for their degree.

The school’s online Bachelor of Science degree program features an equine studies minor. Students will take 24 credits in equine studies of the 120 total credits required for the degree. With an equine major, students can select the Bachelor of University Studies degree or the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
