Once again the headline news is comical. Obama urges Congress to pass Wall Street reforms. How about reform in Washington.
More times than not people will point the finger at others when they have the worse problems themselves. Whether you believe in the bible or not, there is a great parable we all need to understand. It goes something like this:
Jesus said, “Someone who is blind cannot lead another who is blind, can he? Won’t they both fall into a pit? Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to see the beam of wood in your own? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck from your eye,’ while you yourself don’t see the beam in your own? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Luke 6:39-42
You hypocrite Obama and Washington leaders. Shame on you. You have fallen into the pit and as you scream out with all your perceived power to the world you are attempting to force reform on the world when you can can even reform Washington and yourselves
Obama, didn’t you tell the American people you would create change, especially in Washington? Yet, the only change you ever intended was forcing the will of your intentions onto the nation. Reform in Wall Street is needed yet how can you create change anywhere when Washington has the biggest problem of all? Isn’t that an oxymoron?
America has become a dark place as the leaders of the nation continue to drive America into the ground. Isn’t it ironic that Europe has become more like America by stating you can’t spend yourself out of a depression. Come on Washington, are you serious.
Yet how can anyone of us call out and scream at Washington when the true catalyst of change is ourselves and it appears we are failing to do anything at all.
Wake up America and start educating yourself. Start following current events and don’t fall into the traps of the Democratic and Republican media outlets. Rather look deeper into the issues, and make an opinion for yourself. But then again, do you really care as you watch your nation who created the freedom you enjoy today slip into the hands of the people we have called our enemies over the years.
Washington fix your problems first and then let’s fix the problems our nation. For people like you and I, how about becoming more responsible and aware of the issues at hand as we realize freedom is not free.
What can you do? How about creating a blog, write your thoughts, join me at DemocracyMarch.org , and perhaps let our voices be heard beyond sitting by and doing nothing at all.
If not now, then when?
