The Las Vegas Hilton has released betting lines for a total of 80 NFL games, the games featured are called NFL Games of the Week and they highlight divisional rivalries and key match ups. One of the games highlighted for NFL Week Four, features a knock down drag out battle between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Another key divisional game that will be talked about the entire week leading up to the game will be the Philadelphia Eagles taking on their former leader Donovan McNabb and his new team the Washington Redskins. This game will set the tone between these two teams for years to come.
Sunday October 3rd NFL Week 4.
Baltimore Ravens -2.5 vs Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ben Roethlisberger will still be serving his suspension when this game kicks off the first weekend of October but that won’t be as debilitating as many people think. Byron Leftwich is a quarterback that knows the Pittsburgh system and will thrive in Big Ben’s absence. Meanwhile, Joe Flacco will be in for a heated battle with a Pittsburgh defense that wants redemption for an off NFL season in 2009. This game means more to Pittsburgh than it does to Baltimore, it will be a close hard fought defensive war. Take Pittsburgh +2.5 to win this game straight up as the home underdog.
San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons -4.
Atlanta will be a team to watch early in the 2010 NFL season. Matt Ryan will have to play to the level of his NFL rookie season and with additional help at receiver this could be his and Atlanta’s year. San Francisco will have a solid team also and playing in the NFC West should capture them an NFL Playoff berth. Two things going against San Francisco in this game: This game will be indoors and San Francisco needs a reliable quarterback to compete on the road. Take Atlanta -4 and they should win by 7.
Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles -5.
By the time this game kicks off we will have been inundated with days and days of coverage of Donovan McNabb’s return to Lincoln Field in Philadelphia. The game shapes up to be a typical defensive NFC East divisional game that will turn into a scoring battle late. Andy Reid will attack Washington’s corners early and often and if quarterback Kevin Kolb is up to the task this game could get out of hand late. McNabb has a tendency to under perform in big games and the media will hype this game endlessly. Take Philadelphia -5.
Chicago Bears vs New York Giants -4.
The New York Giants have been on a downhill slide since their Super Bowl victory, although they did start off strong in the 2009 NFL season. Chicago will perform better than they their 2009 NFL regular season but will they be able to beat a New York Giant team on their home turf. Chicago will most likely fold under the pressure, led by their high strung and ineffective quarterback Jay Cutler. Take the New York Giants -4.
Monday October 4th NFL Week 4.
New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins Pick em.
New England may be an aging team who’s time has passed but they will rise to the occasion on Monday Night Football. The fact that this is a home game for Miami and the game is rated a pick em bet speaks to the value of home field in Miami’s favor. New England and Tom Brady will use this division game as motivation and make a statement with an all out attack on Miami’s defense. Take New England straight up.
