NCAA Baseball Scores from 2010 NCAA Baseball Tournament Coming In

by itchyfish

NCAA Baseball scores from day one of the 2010 NCAA Baseball Tournament are already coming in. Some of the NCAA Baseball scores were pretty surprising as the Regional games got under way around the country. All 64 teams were in action tonight, as they all took to the field to begin their own respective double-elimination Regional Tournaments. The scores below are for all of the games that took place as the results come in for the day.

Some of the quick highlights from day one were Arizona beating Baylor 10-9, LSU beating UC Irvine 11-10 in 11 innings, and New Mexico upsetting Stanford in the Fullerton Regional. This should all lead to a very exciting day two of the tournament on Saturday, and all of the regional brackets will be played out by the end of the weekend to determine which 16 teams advance to the Super Regionals. From there, eight teams will be left to play in the 2010 College World Series.

The teams that win on day one of the regionals will play each other in the second round, with the two losing teams playing against each other to eliminate the first team from the tournament. The team that then loses the second winners bracket game player the winner of the losers to determine which school plays against the remaining undefeated school for the regional title. It is the winner of that final game that moves on to play in the Super Regionals.
