Every Biggest Loser fan looks forward to the live finale. The at home winner wins a prize of $100,000 and the on campus winner is rewarded with $250,000.
Of course, we start with lots of background information. There are clips of the first weigh-ins at home in their community. Plus, we see their struggles on the ranch.
We left off last week with the viewers deciding between Koli and Daris as the third contestant to compete with Michael and Ashley. Daris comes out first and we see a computer-generated image of his former self. It is very cool to see the before and after images standing next to each other. Daris talks about getting a handle on his stress eating and learning how to eat throughout his waking hours. Daris also introduces his new girl friend who is in the audience. Koli, the high school football coach, then walks out. He is yelling and obviously celebrating his success. Again, the transformation is simply amazing. Koli talks about his lack of self-worth and now after going through the journey he is a changed person. Allison asks Koli about his confidence. Koli asks that people not mistake his confidence and swagger for cockiness.
Allison reveals that Daris has won the viewers’ vote. So the final three will be Michael, Ashley, and Daris. Allison sends them back to get ready for their weigh in.
Allison introduces former players Eric, Danny, and Bill. They are all looking great and slim! Eric has spent time on the Biggest Loser Resort and has lost 150 pounds.
Shay makes her entrance. Subway made her deal that they would pay her $1,000 for every pound she lost. She was the heaviest female contestant ever. At the last finale she weighed 304 pounds and her current weight is 252 pounds. She lost 52 pounds and won $52,000. Jared from Subway brings out her check. But, the check is blank and he has a new challenge for her. He offers to double her earnings if she completes a marathon with him. She says, “I’m in” and gives the thumbs up sign. They also offer her free Subway breakfast and lunch to get her on her way. Shay has lost 224 pounds all together since she stepped foot on the Biggest Loser campus.

Pound For Pound Challenge
Next, we get an update on the pound for pound challenge. Biggest Loser contestants and celebrities have been helping. They show several participants in the pound for pound challenge and the weight loss they have accomplished.
Final Weigh-in for $250,000 and Title of Biggest Loser
Now, we are down to the final three contestants. Daris is already on stage with Allison waiting for his competitors to make their grand entrance. Michael and Ashley were the heaviest man and heaviest woman of the season. Ashley comes out first and she is thin! She is in a two-toned pink dress and looks like she is at her goal weight or darn close to it! Michael is the shows biggest contestant ever. He is thin and even has his shirt tucked in! The transformation is unbelievable!
Michael was the biggest loser at the ranch so he determines the order of the weigh in. He is going youngest to oldest: Daris, Ashley, and then Michael.
Orange team’s Daris started out weighing 346 pounds and his current weight is 178 pounds. He has a total weight loss of 168 pounds and 48.55%.
Ashley is now being called “The Pink Ninja”. Her starting weight was 374 pounds and she needs to lose more than 181 pounds to take first place. Her current weight is 191 pounds for a total loss of 183 pounds. She takes first place with a percentage of 48.93. Once again pink team is on top, but will she stay there?
Michael is in white and holding a single white rose. He was the heaviest competitor and the only competitor to weigh over 500 pounds. His starting weight was 526 pounds. He gives the mom to his mother, “my number one motivation and inspiration”. He needs to lose more than 257 pounds to win the title of Biggest Loser.
Bob says that Michael is “half the man” he was.
OK, finally they are going to weigh Michael. He tosses his headband. His current weight is 262 pounds for a total weight loss of 264 pounds. Michael has won Biggest Loser. He lost 50.19% of his body weight and smashed last year’s biggest loser record set by Danny.
By the way, Koli’s percentage of weight loss beat Michael’s percentage of weight loss. If America had voted Koli into the final three, then Koli would have won the grand prize and Daris would have won $100,000. How’s that for an alternate ending?
