If you write for Associated Content, you can quickly and easily get your content numbers up by publishing some simple slideshows. And you don’t even have to spend time taking pictures! I publish at least 5 slideshows a week, without fail. Slideshows take only minutes to publish. And they can bring in a quick couple of bucks.
I have published slideshows using all kinds of photos. I discovered that animal slideshows, especially cat slideshows, do really, really well in getting views. To make my slideshows super quick to publish, I only use one photo per slideshow. It’s not much of a slideshow, but who cares! I’d rather turn five photos into five slideshows and get each of my subscribers to give me five unique views.
I get all my slideshow photos from stock.xchng. The photos at stock.xchng are free to use and stock.xchng is one of the sites that AC has approved as a source for photo. And since keywords are important, I give my slideshows a crafting twist by saying the photos can be used as printables or for crafts. So not only do I get people who like to look at cats or dogs or horses interested, but I also get crafters to give me a view!

Cat Photography – Playful Kitten Under the Sheets – Tiger Cat with Blue Eyes (click here): I knew this was a cute picture. But I had no idea that it would bring in several thousand views. I’m happy it did.
Maine Coon Cat – Showing Off Her Belly (click here): I remember almost passing by this photo. I didn’t care for the red background. But the photo got over a thousand views over night. And now it has a couple thousand views.
Maine Coon Cat – Green Eyes Big Paws (click here): I guess Maine Coon Cat must be a good keyword combination because this slideshow is also in my top five highest earners!
Cat Photography – Little Black Kitten in a Rock Garden (click here): This cat is just too cute! And this slideshow is already in my top five and as I write this, the slideshow has only been published for three weeks.
Printable Easter Image – White Bunny Rabbit – Close Up Face (click here): This is the only non-cat that made it in my top five! Let’s hear it for the Easter bunny! This little guy is cute, but the cats are more popular.
I’m sad to say that no dogs made it to my top 5. And I have a lot of dog slideshows. I’m not giving up on the dogs, but I’ll keep publishing cat slideshows because I follow the money!
