When I want a sandwich I usually opt for a non-plain version. I regularly eat Mrs. Baird’s Honey 7 Grain Bread.
This bread comes packaged in a clear plastic outer wrap with colorful snippets of yellow, white and blue mingled throughout the bag. The transparency of the packaging allows you to more clearly see the product inside. A large band of brown surrounds the top layer and wraps around to the back. Towards the bottom of the front cover is the brand name of Mrs. Baird’s easily seen. It has been in business since 1908. Underneath is another banner of brown with the words Honey 7 Grain Bread overlapping it. In emphasizing the bread’s content, a small jar of honey is displayed giving further evidence of the flavor inside. There are 8 g of whole grains per serving. The net weight is 20 ounces or 1 pound 4 ounces, the equivalent of 567 grams. Also found on the front cover is a best by date.
On the back is a repeated pattern of the honey and the strip of brown coloring. You will also locate the nutrition facts on the back. The serving size is equal to 2 slices or 67 g. There are 10 servings per loaf. This bread has 150 calories per serving. 25 of those calories are derived from fat. The total fat is 4%, sodium 9%, total carbohydrates 9% and dietary fiber 8%.

The bread has a twisted tie securely wrapped around the plastic bag. It is easily removed to get inside. From the transparent bag you notice the grains especially prevalent on the outer crust. The bread’s interior is light brown in color with shreds of other grains seen.
This bread is not thin or flimsy. It holds up to being toasted as well as having condiments slathered over it with meat sandwiched between. Mrs. Baird’s Honey 7 Grain Bread makes an otherwise dull sandwich come to life. It is more appealing and appetizing than plain types.
For a company that’s been around for over 100 years makes you know they’ve done something right. They believe that quality and freshness are vital in a good loaf of bread. This is what they have relied upon all these years.
I usually purchase this product at a local bakery outlet for much less than the grocery store.
If you’re trying to give that sandwich a little boost, try this and other Mrs. Baird’s bread products. I’m glad I did and will continue to do so.
