Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9th, 2010, and people all around the country will be looking for a special place to take Mom for a special meal. If you’re in the Buffalo, New York area, you have a long list of choices of where to take her on her special day – here are some of them (reservations needed at all of the following restaurants).
Casa Antica – 490 Center St. in Lewiston; 716-754-2581 or www.casaanticarestaurant.com. Check out their brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($19.95 per person, $9.95 children 5 to 10), or try dinner starting at 3 p.m. (regular menu).
Red Coach Inn – 2 Buffalo Ave. in Niagara Falls; 716-282-1459 or www.redcoachinn.com. This restaurant/bed-and-breakfast will be serving Mother’s Day brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; if dinner is more Mom’s style, the regular dinner menu will be available from noon to 9 p.m.
Harry’s Harbour Place Grille – 2192 Niagara St. in Buffalo; 716-874-5400 or www.harrysharbour.com. Harry’s will be serving brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a sit-down ala carte dinner menu from 5 to 9 p.m.
Wilson Boat House – 57 Harbor St. in Wilson; 716-751-6060 or www.wilsonboathouse.com. Brunch featuring traditional breakfast items, prime rib, shrimp cocktail, salads, and sandwiches will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($25 for adults, $15 for children 3 to 12, children under 3 free); dinner will be served from 4 to 9 p.m.
Samuel’s Grande Manor – 8750 Main St. in Williamsville; 716-634-8425 or www.samuelsgrandemanor.com. Brunch seatings from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. will feature two services: from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., traditional breakfast items, and from 2 to 5 p.m., dinner items such as vegetable lasagna, sirloin tips with egg noodles, and potatoes, both services feature baked pasta with marinara, chicken ala king, and pork tenderloin. Adults 13 and older $19.95, children 5 to 12 $9.95, children under 5 free.
La Galleria Restaurant – 3923 Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park; 716-648-4880 or www.lagalleriabanquets.com. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring scrambled eggs, French toast, cheddar bacon potatoes, fruits and vegetables, baked ham, seafood Newburgh, and Chicken Breast Galleria. Sean Patrick’s – 3480 Millersport Hwy. in Getzville; 716-636-1709 or www.spatricks.com. Sean Patrick’s will feature both a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (prime rib and ham, omelet station, salads, and traditional breakfast items) and a dinner buffet from 2 to 4 p.m. (potato-encrusted haddock, pasta station, fruits and vegetables, and salads). Both buffets are $21.95 for adults, $10.95 for children 4 to 10, and children under 4 free.
