When it comes to boss fights, you never want to feel let down or left out. The actions should be right there in your face, and break the very fabric of time as you frantically press buttons, issue commands, and attempt to conquer your fears. These Five games all have extremely exhilarating boss fights, which truly keep you on your toes. Here it is, the list of most difficult boss fights in no particular order.
Chrono Trigger Lavos
Lavos is one of the ultimate in epic boss battles, the battle spans over a very long time, with psychedelic backgrounds illustrating the span of time. From era to era you travel as you fight, encountering the Lavos version of every boss you ever fought in the game. on new game plus mode, when going for the fastest ending Lavos literally does 9,999 nearly every turn guaranteeing some one will die.
Devil May Cry 4 – One Hit Mode
When you play through devil may cry 4 on lower difficulty settings it may seem like a walk in the park, but this final boss is no joke. When it comes to hit or be hit on a final play through of Devil May Cry 4, you can play in a one hit death mode. Assuming that you even make it to the final boss, not getting hit by any of these massive attacks is just another fantastic challenge you will face.
Hydra from God Of War
God Of War may seem like an easy game to some, but frankly I’ve found that it can be horribly difficult under different conditions. The way that you are forced to promptly play ‘Simon Says’ in the middle of battle can throw you off your beat, and cause you to make foolish mistakes, which can be devastating to your state of mind.
Nemesis from Resident Evil 3
I’ve never played any other game with a boss that was so sinister, that even after being shot multiple times with a rocket launcher, he kept right on walking towards you. Honestly I remember getting out the game shark and hacking this boss just to finish the game, because no matter what you do, he just keeps coming. after around 15 minutes of stick and move, you will probably tire of this boss as well (especially considering you are out of ammo!)
Mother Brain in Super Metroid
This game brings back memories for sure, but not all good ones… As I remember, Metroid was a reasonably difficult game to begin with, but as you progressed the bosses each got harder and harder. The only thing keeping you going was the hope that you would get to see Samus without her armor.
As if it wasn’t bad enough taking on lava, which would one shot kill you, and lasers rings at the same time, once you reached the mother brain, and thought you had won. The Mother Brain turns into a nasty prehistoric looking skull with exposed brain firing lasers at you. Then just as you think you’ve lost, and it’s all over Metroid a leech looking creature, sweeps in to refill your life for yet another boss battle! That makes three times that you must defeat this boss, before it actually goes down.
Closing
While all these bosses are difficult I’m sure there is some one out there who will say that they finished them with ease the first time… In anticipation of this flurry of ‘No you’re wrong!’ This statement is made. “This is an opinion piece founded on research and experience, you are free to disagree. However, lets keep the name calling to a minimum.” Most Difficult Boss Fights
