In his interview with ABC Nightline, Jesse James tries to come clean about his extra-marital affairs that he had while married to Sandra Bullock, America’s Sweetheart, and Jesse James’s mistress #2 gives some feedback on the whole situation that she’s involved in with Jesse James. According to radoaronline.com, Melissa Smith, mistress #2, tells that she “felt for him” when Jesse James got really emotional during the ABC interview. She even goes on to identify with Jesse by saying that their relationship came from a state of emotional vulnerability due to childhood issues. This may be true, but it doesn’t let either of them off the hook, right?
Melissa Smith, mistress #2, certainly doesn’t think that it should let Jesse James off the hook. According to radaronline, Melissa Smith tells that she came forward to let Sandra Bullock know that he cheated with more than one woman, and she also supports Sandra Bullock in her decision to divorce. Wait, though! Melissa Smith goes on to tell how Jesse James is “a great guy.” Mistress #2 even tells that there’s “no reason to hate him” because of his ‘demons and bad choices,” according to radaronline.com. She makes a good point here. Isn’t it true that many people fight some type of demon, and many make bad choices? This doesn’t mean that these demons and bad choices need to always define people, right?
A person can literally become someone else, through reinvention or a making of better choices. It is true that demons do sometime get in the way of making good choices, but if a person works consciously on a daily basis to make good choices, a person can control demons. Given this, why can Jesse James not reinvent himself by deciding to make good choices? Jesse James’s stint in rehabilitation suggests a step toward controlling demons, right? And he needs people who love him to help him with his reinvention process, so why would Melissa Smith want Sandra Bullock to divorce a “great guy”? Wouldn’t it be better, if Jesse James really is so “great,” to hope for the best for Jesse James?
How does Melissa Smith feel about her part in this situation? According to radaronline, she believes that Jesse James is sorry, and she admits that she’s sorry, too. Melissa Smith points out that she didn’t want to hurt Sandra Bullock, so this is all good, right? If Melissa Smith really thinks that Jesse is a “great guy” and that he’s fighting demons and that the public shouldn’t “hate him,” why wouldn’t she hope that Jesse James would get forgiveness and support from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Sandra Bullock? Is Melissa Smith, mistress #2 talking out of both sides of her mouth?
