A video of Miley Cyrus giving Adam Shankman, producer of her (hopefully) last movie ‘The Last Song’, a lap dance has surfaced, according to RadarOnline. The racy lap dance video has been posted on TMZ, and it is a real shocker (this will definitely cause an even worse scandal than the Twitter photo of Miley Cyrus giving Adam Shankman a lap dance) So what was Miley Cyrus thinking, and just how bad is lap dance video?
What is going on in the lap dance video?
Photos of Miley Cyrus giving producer Adam Shankman a lap dance surfaced last year, but the video of the two dirty dancing and Miley Cyrus giving Adam Shankman a lap dance is far worse. The video was taken at a wrap party for ‘The Last Song’ last year, and it shows Shankman (drink in hand) and Miley Cyrus dirty dancing in front of a crowd that includes a few young kids (yes, you read that right). The two are “bumping and grinding”, and, at one point, Miley Cyrus kind of flips open her overshirt in what is meant to be a seductive dance move. The two eventually move from the dance floor to a chair at the bar where Miley Cyrus proceeds to give Adam Shankman a lap dance. The dirty dancing was offensive enough that many parents with children under the age of ten watching the jaw-dropping escapade grabbed their kids and bolted from the bizarre and disturbing scene.
Why would Miley Cyrus think it’s okay to give a 45-year-old man a lap dance?
Adam Shankman is an openly gay man, so it’s very likely the duo thought there was no harm done with their actions (actually, they probably didn’t think at all). Adam Shankman has already displayed very poor judgment and caused a scandal in the past by posting a picture of Miley Cyrus giving him a lap dance on Twitter, defending the photo by telling people to lighten up and calling Miley Cyrus his “little angel sister”. Which actually makes it seem even worse. Adam Shankman is a successful choreographer and judge on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, so getting down on the dance floor is a way of life for him. However, being a gay choreographer does not make it okay for him to be dirty dancing with or getting lap dances from an underage girl. Replace Adam Shankman with a man in another profession like a teacher or coach, and just imagine what would happen to him (losing his job and friends, becoming a social outcast, etc.). It’s really hard to believe that he didn’t learn his lesson with the Twitter lap dancing scandal.
Is Miley Cyrus going to end up like Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears?
So far Miley Cyrus seems to be handling fame pretty well, but she’s already dated an older guy as an underage teen (Justin Gaston), and it can’t be good that she thought it was okay to give a 45-year-old a lap dance as a 16-year-old. Perhaps her parents (who weren’t present at ‘The Last Song’ wrap party) let her get away with too much, but as of right now it looks like Miley Cyrus will at least not end up in the same position as Lindsay Lohan, with a fame-hungry dad making her life a living hell and a mother hell-bent on living vicariously through her. Miley Cyrus does have a dad that knows what it’s like to be famous, after all, so hopefully he knows what he’s doing.
The biggest problem with young stars like Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan is that they feel their celebrity status means they can do whatever they please and live with no boundaries, and when drugs, alcohol, or money-hungry people that hover overhead like vultures get added into the mix, you end up with a train wreck. So here’s to hoping that, as she grows up, Miley Cyrus starts to think things through a little more and learn from the mistakes made by those that came before her (maybe if she takes a good look at the lap dance video, she’ll realize her mistake). After all, we’d all hate to hear ‘The Last Song’ by the young star.
