Tell me if it doesn’t seem as if this is the epitome of hypocrisy. The Fox News website headline says “Ban Judge Has Oil Investments.” The headline refers to a story about US District Judge Martin Feldman. Feldman is the judge who lifted the deep drilling moratorium of Obama. And apparently the judge owning stocks in various oil concerns is a conflict of interest – at least to the easily outraged crowd.
But where is their selective outrage when Obama and his cronies have a clear conflict of interest in all the global climate exchanges, boards of directors on climate decision making concerns and involvement in forcing climate change legislation down the throats of the nation’s citizen’s who are very vocal we do not want it? If this isn’t blatant hypocrisy I’ll kiss your ass in the town square.
According to the AP article on Fox the judge has stock in “Ocean Energy, a Houston-based company, as well as Quicksilver Resources, Prospect Energy, Peabody Energy, Halliburton, Pengrowth Energy Trust, Atlas Energy Resources, Parker Drilling and others.” The Judge’s holdings are part of a 2008 financial disclosure report.
So I would assume the article is calling into question the judge’s ability to rule by law and not his portfolio. Okay. If that’s the standard, fine by me. But that standard better be applied evenly across the board.
Why is it when there is the slightest hint of any possible taint with a Republican or conservative, the default position is they are guilty? And as Feldman is a Reagan appointee, clearly he’s disqualified, right friends?
But Obama sits in Rev Wright’s church for 20 years and he never heard a word. Terrorist Bill Ayers being his close pal and co-sitter on numerous boards for education, public & charitable fund disbursement and the like is nothing to be concerned about either. Thug Tony Rezko being Obama’s buddy is also of no concern at all. No, that’s part of that “vast right-wing conspiracy” Hillary was talking about.
See only conservatives are suspect. Lefties are always pure as the driven snow whenever something like this pops up, but them damned conservatives, a foul and fetid bunch if ever their were one, not so much.
I find this a little odd in that Judge Feldman’s ruling was and is sure to be appealed. Does anyone except for the sycophant, dishonest in all their representations, actually believe the man who has been a Federal Judge for more than 25 years would rule other than by the law? He knows more than anyone that his ruling would have been appealed no matter which way he ruled.
Beyond the taint of progressives & main stream media game playing I will betcha the judge ruled according to some sound legal ground based on precedent and/or law and not the liberal disease of “feelings.”
Is there any end to the lengths they will go to destroy anyone and everyone on their way to gaining their dreamed of political supremacy for all time? Is everyone not in political agreement with THEM actually unable to be forthright and trustworthy? To hear THEM tell it, indeed it is so. Only THEY are able to not be tainted by Marxist advisers, big money in global climate exchanges and the tons of other influence peddling schemes they are ass deep to a giraffe involved in. What a load.
My only question in this matter is this: does standard and accepted practice deviate from Judge Feldman’s hearing the case and not recusing himself? If this case does not meet the standard of a judge recusing themselves, then shut up and go away. The rest is the incessant playing of political one-up-man-ship by progressives and their media cheerleaders.
So all is as before. Sycophancy is alive and well folks. Based on the level of it I fear the last days of the United States of America as founded are here and perhaps irreversible. Alright progressives, time to dance. You’ve won the battle for the hearts and minds of the idiots, for fairness is dead. Enjoy.
