Are you an amusement park and water park lover? If so, visit Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Amusement Park, located at 1701 Highway 70 East in Hot Springs, Arkansas for a fun family time. Magic Springs and Crystal Falls are located in the same area. The amusement park and water park are both smaller than some of the other parks, but you get both for one price, so the value is there.
After you visit both parks, you can run on over to Little Rock, Arkansas (just about 50 miles away) and visit the historic district for some more fun. Here is what you can expect when you visit Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Amusement Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas:
Roller coasters. If you like roller coasters, this amusement park is the place to go because it offers 5 or 6 nice size roller coasters, including a large wooden roller coaster. The only thing about the roller coasters is that not all the coasters are always up and running. So, if you intend to visit Magic Springs just for the coasters, call ahead and make sure that they are all operating. Remember routine maintenance needs to happen for the safety of the park’s visitors.
Water rides. The amusement park has some water rides that your family can enjoy without having to wear bathing suits. Plus, your admission ticket to Magic Springs also includes admission to the Crystal Falls Water Park, which provides the true value of your admission price. Your family can enjoy several water rides, including the Lazy River, or family members can just lay out in the sun. This is a great place to get a good tan and have some fun at the same time.
Kiddie area. Magic Springs Amusement Park provides a generous kiddie area, and the lines aren’t long, so your kids can get in plenty of riding time without wearing you out while standing in line. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen to your kids before you go and remember to give them plenty of liquids during the park visit. The area does afford some shade from the sun, but still it’s easy to get a sunburn at this amusement park. Also, wear comfortable clothing, like tennis shoes for your visit to the amusement park.
Scenic view. Magic Springs and Crystal Falls are nestled in a mountain in Hot Springs, Arkansas and even the drive up to the park is breathtaking. You can even get out and walk around in the woody area and enjoy the shades that the trees provide. Even if you don’t go into the park, you still get a real treat if you’re a scenery lover. Do visit both parks, though. You’ll be glad you did.
Average prices. Unless you get a discount of some sort, you can expect to pay around $35 per admission ticket. This is a hefty price, but it does include both parks, Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, so go prepared for a full day between the two parks. Wear your swim suit underneath your shorts and top so that you can strip down and dive into the pool. Afterwards, you can dry out under the hot sun and put your shorts and top back on for the amusement park rides.
