The summer is almost here. From the hot, humid days, to last-minute rain storms, our bodies are exposed to Mother Nature – especially our lips. The winter was bad enough for sensitive lips. Now, the summer will only make them worse. From chapped to dry lips, it’s hard to say which is worse.
Why not protect your lips and flavor them up at the same time? For a few dollars, give your lips (and yourself) a fun and lip-happy summer.
Here is a list of some “food-like” lip balms, that are not only cute, packaging-wise, but also taste pretty good…
Cereal Lip Balms
Averaging for about $3.50 in cost are some cute lip balms shaped like some of our favorite cereals (box-shaped). They even taste pretty close to your favorite cereals. You can get one in Fruit Loops, Coco Puffs, Lucky Charms, Rice Krispie, and more. They’re available at Claire’s Accessories and Ebay.
Drink Lip Balms
The latest in lip balms are ones that look like our favorite drinks – from miniature bottles to soda cans. Two of my favorites are Mountain Dew and Hawaiian Punch. They can be found at Claire’s Accessories and Ebay for about $4.00.
Candy Lip Balms
There are so many lip balms that taste like our favorite candy. My absolute favorite (available at Target and Wal-mart for about $2.50) is Starburst. Although this type of lip balm is not shaped like the candy, it tastes very much like the real thing. Other candy flavors to try are Jolly Ranchers, Tootsie Roll, and Reese Cup.
Junk Food Lip Balms
These last two lip balms are quite unique. The first one is a Dairy Queen Strawberry lip balm available at K-mart for about three dollars. Finally, the last, unique lip balm on my list goes for about $3.99. Can you guess what it is? It’s not one that tastes like french fries. It doesn’t taste like a burger. It’s J&D’s Bacon Lip Balm, created by Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow. This lip balm tastes like bacon. It can found at http://store.baconsalt.com/.
All of these lip balms are perfect to fit in a pocket or purse. Now that you have a list of unique lip balms to try, you’re ready to face the summer. For a mere couple of dollars, protect your lips while flavoring them up. And while you’re at it, why not give one of these tasty lip balms as a gift? Someone else might just thank you for it.
