Lindsay Lohan’s SCRAM bracelet is stating that Lohan violated her probation. The SCRAM bracelet reported alcohol in Lohan on Sunday night, and that led to the judge in the case issuing an arrest warrant last night. The arrest warrant came with a stipulation that Lohan could post bail of $200,000 to remain free, and someone from her team quickly scrambled to have that bail paid. Since then, the warrant has been recalled, and Lohan is scheduled to appear in court on July 6 again. According to TMZ this morning, it was alcohol that triggered the SCRAM bracelet but, according to Lohan’s Twitter account, the actress is claiming that she didn’t do anything wrong. Stating, “i did not violate anything .. at all“.
It is very clear that Judge Marsha Revel isn’t going to let anything else slide in this case against Lindsay Lohan, and that she felt her stipulations on the probation of Lohan were very clear. When Lohan missed the hearing to discuss her progress in her alcohol education classes, the judge didn’t come down on her harshly, but gave her the chance to post bail and come back on July 6.
Now the SCRAM bracelet has reported that Lohan has violated one of the provisions that she is not allowed to consume any alcohol or drugs before that next hearing. Again, instead of just issuing an arrest warrant and tossing Lohan in jail, the judge was lenient by setting bail so that Lohan could stay free. Judge Revel is clearly giving Lohan at least the benefit of the doubt here, all while trying to enforce the terms of probation she set in the case.
The question being asked by both sides will be why the SCRAM bracelet reported that Lohan was consuming alcohol. It could really come down to Lindsay Lohan’s word against the technology that is claiming she had alcohol in her system.
The judge may then have to decide if the word of Lohan is good enough anymore, especially after all of the grief that Lohan has put the court system through these past months by missing hearings and taking up the court’s time. TMZ had reported last night that the arrest warrant for Lindsay Lohan was issued, and it’s a good thing that Lohan has a team of people trying to keep her out of jail.
Now the court case will be even more interesting, because it’s either the SCRAM bracelet or Lohan that isn’t telling the truth. I fully expect the team on Lohan’s side to dispute the findings, and that this could be more stress for Judge Revel to deal with at that July 6 hearing.
