Do you read the papers? Watch broadcast networks for your news? MSNBC? CNN? The Policitco? Huffington Post? If so, you are getting news tailored by the “news reporters” to drive a message, and now we have the very words of the journalists themselves.
If one watches news besides that reported on the above named and then some, they know of the “Journolist” list server that serves as an in house communication vessel for media journalists across various media platforms, as well as a sort of private little “passing notes in class” tool for them to pick the news they report, how to report it and worst of all, how to spin it and create their own predetermined impressions in the minds of those who consume their “news.”
“Journolist” is how the news reporters trade ideas and end up parroting the exact same phrases and talking points. Is it just me that notices on “X” day an event is reported by the usual suspects and their phraseology is identical to other news outlets that favor leftist goings on?
For the record, EDITORIAL writers are NOT the individuals I am highlighting in this article. Editorial pundits, myself an amateur one, specialize in taking an incident or political condition and opining what it means, the impetus, etc. NEWS REPORTERS are supposed to report, hence the term JOURNALIST, for they are to JOURNAL events as they happen. To be an eyewitness of the facts and report said facts with ZERO spin or political positioning whatsoever.
Editorial writers, myself included, as not so bound. We do not report news (well sometimes we do, but that is not our mission), we EDITORIALIZE on what it means, rightly or wrongly. Get the difference?
It’s basically the difference between a cop and a judge. The cop catches you and hauls you in but the judge decides your guilt or not and sentence. That is a huge distinction for sure – keep it in mind. Reporters report facts and proper context and THAT IS ALL! When they endeavor to do any editorializing, they are doing a disservice to their readers.
“Journolist” exposes them. There is the journalist for the Washington Independent, one Spencer Ackerman, a lefty from Hell, who went on to inform his fellow JournOlist peeps “that they start randomly picking conservatives — “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”(Ann Coulter, Townhall.com) Coulter’s quote was a reference to how the JournOlist folks should address the Rev. Jeremiah Wright revelations during the campaign.
It’s tiring to have to fight with leftists who deny there is collusion between reporters and editorialists who are leftists and have decided and have been clearly exposed, having a bias and pushing that bias at the expense of factual and contextually accurate news. Lefties will swear since I am a Fox watcher, I am tainted. BS. I can make my own merit judgments ya know.
Allow me to highlight a specific example of the difference in the ether and in media reporting, as well as editorialists editorializing. The hated and called liar Glenn Beck BEGS listeners to vet his facts. He tells them specifically “DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT! CHECK MY FACTS!”
Does Chris Matthews do that? Rachel Maddow? David Gergen? The Politico folks? DO THEY???? No, they do not. They present what they want you to see and then pronounce it undeniable and contextually accurate fact. And everything they opine is sworn by their consumers as dead on, undeniable fact. Yet Beck demands viewers vet him. So far Beck has been wrong I think TWO TIMES in 18 months. And he then comes out and ADMITS he was in error and he corrects it.
When one man begs me to vet him and the others just tell me what they have agreed to present to me, I know I have a choice. Accept the leftist talking points or vet the truth. Don’t know ’bout you folks, but I spend a good deal of time vetting the things conservative media forwards. Guess what? Conservative media is nearly flawless in fairly and CONTEXTUALLY ACCURATE reporting of the FACTS!
Leftist media spins it, leaves off context and runs with it trying to create an impression in the minds of their consumers. Sure lefties will tell me I am brainwashed, etc., but who’s media is it again that is exposed as colluding spinners and who presents contextually accurate facts?
Lastly, take the Dept. of Agriculture woman, Shirley Sherrod, who was made to resign, then rehired. Her allegedly “damning” words were made in front of an NAACP audience. The event was filmed by – the NAACP – and someone leaked PART of the tape to Andrew Beritbart at Big Government.com., and when the truth emerges later in the day the same NAACP that filmed the event and owns the film of her words comes out and claims “Breitbart and Fox ‘snookered’ them.”(paraphrased) Y’all getting this?
The NAACP had the whole file all along. So it had to be someone from the NAACP who LEAKED the PARTIAL film, the damning part, to media. Breitbart took all he had and reported it, and NAACP then acts like they were taken by colluding conservative media. What a load! NAACP owns the film – they filmed it – after all, so only someone there could have leaked the partial tape to Breitbart. Clearly someone decided to bait conservative media. They failed, but their effort damns them.
Believe what you read, see and hear at your peril. And lastly, yes Tricia, careful accepting my words as fact.(bet that would have been your comment, no?LOL) Like Beck I encourage folks to VET ME! So if any media are honest brokers it would seem to be conservative media that begs to be vetted by the consumer. Leftist media colludes to create an impression to spin facts or omit them and alter context to see their hopeful desires become commonly accepted fact and wisdom.
If ya forward leftist media chatter it better be because you agree with its intentions, true or not in the reporting of it. Just know you are their bitch doing their bidding. If you’re good with it, hey, fine by me. Stupidity ain’t illegal yet, so have at it.
If ya can’t see the danger and pure evil in this, just lay down and die already – I mean you’re already dead from the F-ing neck up, so lay down and get it over with for Christsakes!
