Gameplay Overview and Background
LARRY: Gnomergeddon is an addition to the LARRY series, which revolves around a little knight named Larry. This game is a mini-game that will act as a precursor to the Larry and the Gnomes game that will come out in the near future. In LARRY: Gnomergeddon, the land of Karryon is being attacked by gnomes, and Larry must stop the invasion.
When you first begin, due to the game’s high use of graphics, you will be prompted to select a computer speed. This will help reduce the amount of lag that this game can potentially create.
It is best to go through the quick tutorial to get a handle on the controls.
The objective of LARRY: Gnomergeddon is to fend off the gnome army for 20 days. Kill as many gnomes as you can each day. You can try to see how long you can last before being defeated.
The game auto-saves after the end of each day. This allows you to return to the game after any day to give yourself some rest.
Also, at the end of each day, you will presented with a report that will describe how you performed during that day. You will be shown the number of enemies killed out of the number possible, the number of gems that you have collected, a health bonus (based on the health you were able to retain), a time bonus (based on how quickly you kill the gnomes), and a total points accumulated.
At the end of the game, you can submit your score to see how you compare with other Newgrounds.com gamers.
LARRY: Gnomergeddon is a lot more action-packed than, say, the LARRY: Doug-Out game. Though both are fun and addicting, they provide different types of entertainment.
If you enjoy a good fighting game, you will enjoy LARRY: Gnomergeddon. With a good number of attack combinations and swappable weapons, this game offers a variety of ways to defeat the gnomes. By including 20 days to allow you to kill as many gnomes as you can, it offers ample time to rack up a score to compare with other players around the world.
LARRY: Gnomergeddon scores a 10/10 for its high level of entertainment and addictive value.
