There are many things to see and do in Tennessee. Many of us will vacation in the Pigeon Forge area because of the many attractions and natural landscape to enjoy, but have you thought about where you are going to stay during your visit?
Laquinta is a popular hotel chain that has various locations throughout the U.S. While there are many hotels and inns in the Tennessee area, it might be nice to just stick with a brand of hotels that we are already familiar with.
Laquinta Inn at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is located at 219 Emert Street.
They have a lot of different features including free wireless internet. They also have a swimming pool to enjoy on hot summer days.
Pets are also welcome here, but you need to check on the deposit amount. There is a 2 pet limit though.
The rates do very, but the average for a non-discount rate is around $90. They also have family suites for around $140.
The good thing about the regular rooms, is that instead of 2 double beds, they offer 2 queen beds.
I have found that most Laquinta hotels have feather pillows as well, since I am allergic and many people are, you might need to make a special request to have these removed and replaced while booking. We have never had a problem with this special request.
They also offer microwaves, a hairdryer, and coffee makers in most rooms.
While their rates are pretty reasonable, they also offer special discounts for those who are members of either AAA or AARP, those who are seniors, or have special corporate codes. Many of us will find that either our or our partner’s job will get discounts at Laquinta hotels. If you don’t know the code, simply book onsite and tell them where you work to see if there is a special rate. If you already know what discount you will book under, you can always make your reservations online to save time when you arrive.
This is also a non-smoking facility and the check in time is 3 p.m. and the checkout time is before 11 a.m.
You won’t even have to worry about buying breakfast because they serve a really nice breakfast onsite.
Enjoy waffles, toast yogurt, fruit and cereal as you drink juice, milk, or coffee and read the paper in their breakfast area.
These areas are often large enough to seat many guests, but you can always fix a plate and bring it back to your room as you wish. We have done this before and never had a problem.
If you feel like going out for breakfast, there is a Cracker Barrel and a Golden Corral nearby.
For lunch or dinner, treat yourself to some nearby restaurants like Arby’s, Ruby Tuesday or Red Lobster before heading back to the hotel after a busy day at local attractions like Dollywood or Ripley’s Aquarium.
Overall, this seems like a nice hotel with reasonable rates, especially if you can use a discount. They offer a lot of extras like internet and breakfast that can save you time and money on your vacation.
