The two brands that I am referring to are Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal and Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes Cereal. These two brands of frosted flakes are very similar in flavor, appearance, size and texture.

Texture
The texture of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal and Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes Cereal is very similar. Each brand of cerea is crisp and crunchy straight from the box and they both maintain their crunchy texture for a decent amount of time, when they are swimming in milk. Even after each of these brands of cereal has been submerged in milk for a while, their texture is still quite pleasant.

Taste / Flavor
When it comes to flavor, I find that Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal and Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes Cereal are almost identical. If I was blindfolded and had the two different brands of frosted flakes cereal in front of me, I think that it would be very difficult for me to tell the difference between the two products. Both brands of ceral are sweet, to be sure, but neither brand is overly sweet. While both brands of cereal are delicious when submerged in milk, they are also great – tasting snacks to be enjoyed dry, straight from the box. Intersetingly, each brand of frosted flakes also contains the same amount of sugar.

Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal is packaged in a sturdy cardboard box that is easy to open and re – close. The box is attractively – designed and the rear label lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information.
The Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes Cereal that I recently consumed was packaged in a sturdy plastic – like bag. I have also seen many varieties of Malt-O-Meal cereal packaged in cardboard boxes, but I am not sure if their frosted flakes are so packaged. The bag of Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes Cereal is also easy to open and re – close, is attractively – designed and its’ rear label also lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information.
Overall Rating
All things considered, Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes Cereal and Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes Cereal are excellent products that are almost identical in taste, texture, size and overall quality. In the area of price however, these two brands of cold cereal differ greatly. The Kellogg’s variety of frosted flakes costs more than double the price of the Malt-O-Meal cereal. While both of these items are recommended by this food writer, I think that the Malt-O-Meal Frosted Flakes cereal is a much better buy.
