The most important event in human history was the birth of Jesus Christ. He is the propitiation for our sins. In Jesus Christ, we fully see God’s love for us; it goes back to eternity past. When we see Jesus Christ, we see the Father.
There was no one found in heaven or on earth to satisfy the righteousness of God. Only Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, was pure enough to cover the sins of every man, woman, boy and girl born over all these generations of this peopled earth. Foretold
When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, God made the following statement to Eve and the serpent. There is some controversy surrounding the interpretation of this statement. However, since God is Omniscient, knowing the end from the beginning, Christians see this statement as being the first prophecy of The Coming Messiah.Genesis 3:15
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
The serpent’s seed represents rebellion and sin. The seed of the woman God promises will ultimately win, although the serpent has tried to alter God’s purpose for man.
Adam lived many years after sinning in the garden. The Scriptures gives us to understand, “the wages of sin is death.”
Man would suffer physical death but God provides a way for man not to suffer spiritual death as well.
Spiritual death is the death Adam suffered in the garden. Satan brought Adam and all of his descendents to dilemma on purpose. Satan (a created being) had been thrown out of Heaven; his purpose on earth is to steal, kill and destroy man.
God’s Plan for Man
“For He chose us before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love.”
The very first thing to consider is what The Word of God tells us about His (God’s) purpose for creating us. We were created to serve God. That makes you dependent. A servant is dependent upon his Master.
Jesus Christ asked His Father to prepare him a body. Only Jesus was able to fulfill the righteousness of God. God allowed His only begotten Son to die on The Cross of Calvary for the sins of all of mankind. His blood sacrifice for our sins enables us to escape eternal damnation and separation from The Heavenly Father.
The Word of God says in the New Testament the following:
“No man can come to me, (Jesus), except the Father which hath sent me draw him and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Jesus Christ as Prophet: Jesus as our Mediator satisfies the requirements of the Law; He is our kinsman Redeemer in God’s plan of redemption. There is no other way to inherit eternal life but by Jesus Christ.Heb. 9:22-24 & Rev. 21:22
As Priest: He sacrificed His righteous blood and satisfied the righteousness of God-one time and no other sacrifice needed. Heb. 7:17
Remember, blood was used to establish a covenant in The Word of God and purification by the sprinkling of blood. There is no other way.
Col.2: 3 you will find. “In Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
“Life of the flesh is in The Blood.”
Romans 10:8-9 says this.
(a)”The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart-that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9(b) that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
He is The Life. The Scripture tells us He is The Bread of Life.
John 6:53 reads like this.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”
As King: Jesus Christ is mediator of judicial and executives powers of Almighty God, on our behalf. John 5:27
“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in they womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”
Jesus is the “The Author and Finisher of Our Faith.”
When Jesus Christ came the first time, God gave Him to the world. When Jesus comes for the second time he has been chosen to rule the kingdoms of this world as “King of Kings. This can be found in Revelations 11:15 and 19:16. Christ will reign for one thousand years when he comes again. Old Testament scriptures foretold his kingship-prophets Jeremiah 23:5, as well as Isaiah 11:1-6.
Finally, You must make Him Your Lord and feed daily upon His Word, and walk daily in His Word and commune daily with Him in prayer. You need new manna on a daily basis. This makes you dependent because He is your life source.
