As Mel Gibson reportedly sells large-scale property in an effort to flee the tape scandal he’s been embroiled in, conflicting reports come of the actor moving to Australia. Is he really relocating with ex-wife, Robyn, or is he staying in the U.S.? Australia’s Herald Sun, reports not true.
Mel Gibson’s Rep Says He’ll Stay in U.S.
According to Alan Nierob, a rep for Mel Gibson, the actor is staying in the U.S.
“There’s no truth to the Mail story,” he told NBC regarding a British newspaper report in The Mail on Sunday.
Various sources have made the same report. Whatever the answer is today, will it change tomorrow?
Gibson Sells Property Assets
Mail had also reported the actor sold some large-scale property in Greenwich, Connecticut. The mansion there, known as Old Mill Farm, has sold for $24 million U.S. dollars. Apparently Gibson had listed the mansion in 2007 at the price of $39.5 million.
In the same report, the paper said Gibson was selling his Malibu, California home, Lavender Hill Farm. The price for that is reportedly $15 million.
Is it possible he’s in a hurry to sell the property in an effort to collect their worth before the market value goes down over the tape scandal?
Robyn Re-Enters Picture
Robyn Moore Gibson, Mel’s estranged wife, has come forward, supporting her ex-husband. Wizbang Pop reports Robyn may be encouraging Gibson to move with her Australia in avoiding the tape scandal involving ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Gibson’s recorded audio rants have likely damaged his reputation indefinitely by the release of numerous tapes. He has a few movie projects in the works, but no word on what will now happen with those with the latest developments.
Does this mean the embattled actor is leaving for Australia or actually staying in the U.S.?
Will Mel and Robyn Gibson grow closer and recover what they once had whether they live in Australia or the U.S.? The pair has been married 30 years and have seven children together. Seeing Robyn stand by Mel and defend him may be just what he needs to get through the worst hit the actor’s ever encountered.
Mel Gibson is on a mission to find peace after the horrendous tape scandal. Wherever he lives, he’ll no doubt take some much needed time to recover and reflect on where he goes from here.
