Len always uses bar soap in the shower, and it gets him clean, but when I saw that CVS Pharmacy had Irish Spring on sale, down from $4.99, to $2.99, with a $2 coupon back at the cash register, I couldn’t resist buying it for him.
This is a big plastic bottle of body wash. The color of it is green, and why wouldn’t it be, being Irish. It has a darker green flip top. The size of the bottle is 18 fl. oz. (1.12 pt.) 532 ml. The fragrance I chose for him is Moisture Blast, and it states that it has an ‘8 hour scent system’.
Well, before giving it to Len, I had to try it out for myself. When I took the bottle into the shower with me, I loved the shape of it. It is a flat bottle with an area for your thumb on the left, and a grip for your fingers on the right. Now if you are left handed you would turn the bottle so the back is towards you. It holds firm in this position.
I wet my body, and then squeezed a small amount of the Irish Spring Body Wash, onto my pouf. Immediately I could smell the really strong masculine smell to it. I started to wipe the pouf over my body, and there was lots of lather. One small amount was plenty to go over all of my body.
I then allowed the water to cover me and rinse it away. The pouf had to be squeezed several times for the rest of the body wash to disappear.
I did feel clean, and my body had a fairly strong smell to it. It wasn’t unpleasing to me, but I would have preferred it on Len. My skin felt soft, which meant that I didn’t have to use a moisturizing cream on it.
I had my shower in the morning, and it wasn’t until dinner time, around 5.00 p.m., that I remembered about the 8 hour scent. I couldn’t smell it on me, so I lifted up my arm and could still smell it, although it was now faint.
So being happy with this product I passed it over to Len. He has been using it for a week now, and came to the same conclusion, that he feels cleaner with the body wash, than regular soap. He has only used a very small amount, so it looks as if a bottle will last a couple of months.
