Human Growth Hormone Key to Youth

by itchyfish

There is a lot of buzz about HGH lately. You may be wondering what the big hype is all about. HGH is an abbreviation for Human Growth Hormone. This is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland in the brain. With all the phenomenal reviews about HGH, you would think the fountain of youth has been discovered. Well, in a way it almost has. Some describe the human growth hormone as the key to slowing the aging process.

HGH stimulates growth and cell production in human beings. When a person begins to approach middle age, however, the pituitary gland slowly reduces the amount of HGH that is produced. Aside from aging, other factors, including stress, exercise, nutrition, and sleep play a role in HGH production. Studies have linked a decrease in the hormone with aging. It would only make sense that an increase in the hormone would have the reverse effect. By the time a person reaches age 60, most will have approximately 80% less growth hormone in their body. The growth hormone is currently used to treat children’s growth disorders, in addition to adult growth hormone deficiency.

Another benefit of human growth hormone injections is that it can increase muscle mass and reduce the amount of body fat. It is a very popular substance in the bodybuilding world. HGH has been proven to stimulate the differentiation and proliferation of myoblasts. In addition, it stimulates amino acid uptake and protein synthesis in the muscles. Patients who receive HGH also report a general feeling of enhanced well being and a strengthened immune system. Infections begin to decrease. Recovery from illness speeds up. Allergies even improve. Those who suffer from depression also report an elevated mood and diminished depressed feeling.

In a society obsessed with youth and physical appearances, it is not surprising that HGH injection sales are dramatically increasing. Annual sales of HGH worldwide are estimated to be $1.5 to $2 billion. HGH is everywhere. It is readily available and easy to administer. Within weeks, people using HGH notice an increased skin thickness and elasticity. When HGH is administered for preventative anti-aging purposes, the standard dosage is 0.01mg to 0.02mg of HGH per 2.2 lbs of body weight per week. A person can opt to skip seeing the physician and receive HGH in the form of pills or nasal spray.

Side effects from human growth hormone use are relatively low when monitored under medical supervision. The hormone is safe and will have few side effects. The risk of developing certain side effects does increase when HGH is taken in higher doses without proper supervision. The benefits of HGH can be miraculous, but it is important to always proceed with caution when taking any hormone supplements. When excessive amounts are taken, the most common side effect is acromegaly. In addition, other side effects such as premature death, heart enlargement, low blood sugar, excessive hair growth, excessive water retention, liver and thyroid damage may occur. How far a person is willing to go for the sake of youth, is their own personal choice.
