Take off your shoes when entering your home. Place a small mat at each entry door of your home. I also place a shoe rack there or even a laundry basket will work to hold the shoes. Teach yourself and everyone in your family to wipe their feet on the rug and place their shoes in the designated area. This will decrease the amount of time you spend vacuuming your home weekly and shampooing those carpets!
Clean up spills the minute they happen. Don’t procrastinate! If you notice a spill in your refrigerator or microwave, clean it up as soon as you notice. Wipe that water! Keep a towel and squeeze in your shower, or at least within easy reach. Wipe those walls and glass doors the minute you are done showering or bathing. Do not let the water sit, as this simply means; you have those pesky water marks that will consume a good two or three hours of your Saturday afternoon to remove. Imagine enjoying the beverage of your choice and relaxing instead of scrubbing those shower doors!

When you are in those rooms; grab a wipe and wipe off the counter tops, machines, mirrors. In the morning when you get ready for your day, simply grab a wipe do a quick sweep across the area’s mentioned above, and before bed repeat. This simple task will dramatically cut down the time you have to spend thoroughly cleaning these items in your home.
Once you have adopted these quick, easy and painless routines cleaning will not seem like such a daunting task to improve the look, feel and environment of your home.
