The House MD season 6 finale is one of impressive emotion for House and a final answer to whether Cuddy and House will ever be a couple.

The House MD season six finale “Help Me” begins with House giving Cuddy the book her great, great grandfather wrote as a house warming gift. She tells him a crane from a construction site has fallen on an office building in Trenten and she’s going to help.
House follows on his motorcycle. When he gets there, he calls Wilson about Cuddy as she acted strangely when he gave her the gift. After the phone call, House notices a tunnel into the rubble of the building. He climbs in and finds a woman trapped bellow the collapse. He asks her name and she keeps talking about her husband’s birthday, eventually she says her name is Hannah. Despite her pleads for him to stay House goes to get help.
The team sent down to help her however can’t get the IV in an House has to go back down to put it directly into her tibia as the no one else knows how. House and Cuddy talk about Lucas. Cuddy reveals he has proposed and she is getting married. The medical team helping Hannah says they are going to need to take her leg as it would take too long to move the rubble to free it. House says no as the situation reminds him as his own when he legs was injured. Cuddy supports his decision and they decide to wait and keep trying to move the rubble.
Back at the hospital, the team works on the man who caused the crane accident. He is bleeding from his eyes and nose. The team doesn’t know what’s wrong. 13 is late to work, and later leaves a note on House’s desk requesting time off. It is suggested her condition may be worsening.
House attempts to leave to go back to the hospital and keep the team’s patient but Hannah freaks out and wants him to stay. Cuddy convinces him it is in the best interest of the woman. House allows Hannah to call her husband despite it being not the best medical option. They seem to have a connection going.
Hannah asks House about his leg and how it happened, and then to pray with her. At first House says no, but then appeases her by praying. When the medical team comes back to lift the building off her leg the building collapses more causing Hannah’s lung to collapse. Cuddy now agrees amputation is the only choice, House continues to argue. Cuddy becomes angry with House and tells him he has nothing, Wilson is moving on, she’s moving on, and he has nothing as a result of the pain the choice he made with his own leg caused him.
House tells Hannah she should amputate. He shares with her the story of his leg, and that if he could go back he’d have had his own leg amputated because the pain keeping it has caused him has changed him for the worse. Hannah agrees to the amputation and House does the procedure.
The man who caused the accident falls into a coma while being questioned by the police. Later in a phone, conversation with House is condition is diagnosed and proven to have been preexisting. It may have caused the accident.
Hannah is safely removed from the building and reunites with her husband who joins her, and House in the ambulance. On the way to the hospital, something goes wrong. House first suspects a lung clot and treats for it, but it fails. Hannah has a fat embolism from the amputation and dies just as they reach the hospital.
House is met by Foreman who tries to tell him he did everything right and it wasn’t his fault. House is very upset and orders Foreman to get out of his way so he can leave. House goes home and rips the bathroom mirror from the wall revealing a hole with two bottles of vicodin. He falls to the floor and opens the bottle, places a few in his hand and Cuddy arrives.
She tells him if he wants to go back on drugs its his choice. Then she reveals she has ended it with Lucas because no matter what she does she can’t stop thinking about House. She finally tells House she loves him, and they kiss. House asks if this is a hallucination and Cuddy asks him if he took the vicodin. House says no and drops them; the episode ends as they hold hands.
Though the next episode air date is unknown and there was no preview for the next episode at the end of the House MD season six finale “Help Me”. House will continue for a 7th season as Hugh signed a contract just before season 6 for more than one season. We can certainly expect to see more of House and Cuddy as Huddy fans seemingly have gotten their wish.
