Holiday Inn Express in Milford, Ohio is a nice hotel conveniently located on the East side of Cincinnati near I 275. Here you’ll find extremely clean well appointed rooms, comfy beds, a heated indoor pool, free breakfast and plenty of dining and shopping locations nearby.
Having recently spent three nights at Holiday Inn Express in Milford Ohio I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. I really liked the white linen comforters as opposed to those standard hotel bedspreads you usually find at hotel chains. The bathroom tile, sink, tub and shower curtains were also all white and spotless making me feel like things here were cleaner than many hotels.
The indoor heated pool was crystal clear, clean and a nice place to relax. Adjacent to the pool is a small exercise room with several treadmills and a stationary bike. The pool area has plenty of clean towels available and adequate seating but there is no place to sunbathe and I would have like to have had some skylights or an outdoor sun deck available in mid summer. I would have also liked to have a hot tub but you won’t find it here.
The rooms were well appointed with comfortable beds, nice tv’s, and everything else you need including hair dryers, irons, ironing boards and plenty of mirrors. The furnishings were nice and the overall condition of the facility was like new.
Our King Suite included a small kitchen with a microwave, sink, coffee service, and a table with two chairs. In addition there was a sofa, coffee table and end table with lamp in the room so you could relax and read the newspaper or surf the internet with your laptop.
The Holiday Inn Express in Milford has a nice dining room and plenty of tables and a tv for viewing the morning news. Unfortunately the free breakfast was only fair. It consisted of coffee, which was not great and disposable cups. The food items included breads for toasting and plain bagels, cereal, yogurt, bananas, juices, boiled eggs, cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs and bacon. On alternating days they served small cheese omelets and biscuits and sausage gravy instead of bacon and scrambled eggs.
The breakfast would have been better with some additional bagel choices, bakery items other than cinnamon rolls, and real cups for the coffee. A better blend of coffee would have also helped. On the other hand, the price was right as the breakfast is free with a nights stay.
We were able to book two King Suites for the rate of $91.00 per night. Upon receiving our final bill we discovered we had been incorrectly charged $125 for Friday night as opposed to the week days which was more than we were quoted. The hotel staff were very accommodating and quickly corrected our bill. They had also been helpful in discussing possible discounts and were generally willing to negotiate prices upon check in.
Overall, I would rate the Holiday Inn Express in Milford Ohio as an A-. This is a good choice in hotels in the Cincinnati area and one I would definitely return to again when visiting the area.
