Guide: How to Play Hotel City is a Fascinating Game by Playfish

by itchyfish

There are many great games to play on the internet. Just do a simple search and you will find them. Playfish came out with a lot of great games. Most of them are even linked to the popular social networking site called Facebook. Restaurant City became a favorite of mine over time. In this guide I will teach you how to play Hotel City by Playfish.

Tips and Techniques You Should Use While Playing Hotel City
In this game, you are presented with a vertical cut-away of a budding hotel. You are able to add new rooms of varying size to the overall structure, decorate them, and hire friends. The goal of the game is to build a growing hotel business. Income is the most important. Your money is earned by having guests stay for a period of time within one of your guest rooms. I would suggest building large rooms. Building large rooms would allow you to earn more coins. If a guest stays in the smallest “budget room,” they’ll only pay one coin upon leaving. If they stay in the larger “small room,” they will pay three coins. Sometimes guests decide to stay in the larger “small room” for a longer period of time. So, you could always try switching ideas and build a lot of “budget rooms” and see which earns yourself a higher income. It really all depends on the guests decisions. Don’t forget to spend some money decorating the hotel rooms, if you would like a quality star rating. In Hotel City, the level of quality your room is at, directly affects the star rating your overall hotel receives.

Hiring your friends is the most effective long-term method to save on cash. However, in order to hire a friend, they must currently play Hotel City. Luckily, if you don’t have friends who play as well, the game hires temporary staff computer players to work for a fee.

Other Tips and Tricks to Earn Some Coins in Hotel City
Remember how in Restaurant City you could poke the trees and coins would fall? Well, in Hotel City it’s basically the same mysterious means of earning some extra coins. In Hotel City, poke the sleeping guests! You can only do this one time per guest. However, sometimes nothing will happen; other times, they will get up, pay, and leave early. In the best case scenario, they leave you a couple hundred coins. Poke every sleeping guest in your hotel, and watch how high your income increases! As each guest comes into the hotel, they will tell you what they want. As the player increases in level they will demand more and more extras. Guests will ask for niceties such as a gym, night club, or bar. These rooms are usually quite large, but will offer areas for multiple guests to enter. Remember, these rooms become popular, and guests must pay an entrance fee. Therefore, this is another great way in order to gain a high income. Don’t forget to visit your friend’s hotels daily, and click on the money bags for a little extra cash. Everything adds up.

Warnings, Mistakes Made, and What You Should Avoid While Playing Hotel City
When you have a building filled with dozens of tiny rooms, it will start to feel very cluttered. You can avoid this by having a mix of different rooms. Don’t build a hotel consisting only of “budget rooms”. This not only adds to the cluttered effect, but it also makes your hotel very busy. Not only do you have more rooms to book, since “budget rooms” take up less space than the larger “small rooms”; but also because guests stay for a shorter time in a “budget room”.

Also, remember to budget your money. Many players just spend their coins and end up bankrupt. However, you don’t want to run out of coins. If you run out of coins this will lead you to visiting your friends hotels to get some coins from money bags. This could take a while in order for you to earn just enough coins to start a new shift in your own hotel.

Overall, Hotel City is an extremely fun and exciting game to play. With your best strategy, you will be able to master this Playfish game.
