Though many of us believe that going green maybe the latest trend in keeping things eco-friendly, it is actually something that has been around for a long time. Since ancient times, those who practiced the medical arts knew that green foods, such as plants, had the power to cleanse, detoxify, and heal the body.
Unfortunately, as we have become a modern age of people, we have found ourselves not well acquainted with the power of green foods. Green foods are a rich source of protein, calcium, fiber, chlorophyll, and disease fighting nutrients. A well-rounded diet will include many of these green foods, either in the kitchen for meals or as part of your daily supplements. 1. Green Alfalfa

3. Green Barley Grass
In the early stages of the common cereal, grain is the barley grass. Barley grass helps to fight inflammation and is high in vitamins B12, C, and E as well a host of minerals and enzymes.
4. Green Brassica
Brassica is actually a family of several green foods. They include broccoli, cabbage, and kale. Many of these foods have been shown to help fight cancer and provide various nutrients such as vitamins C and K, along with iron and zinc.
