May 22nd through May 23rd marks the return of the Green Festival to Navy Pier. This family event focuses on living a sustainable life and will renew your enthusiasm by presenting new and exciting ways to by kinder to the environment. There will be over 300 green exhibitors in attendance as well as numerous speakers and vegetarian and vegan restaurants.
Ticket prices for the Green Festival in Chicago
There are many different ticket options for the Green Festival. An individual one-day pass cost only $10. This pass gives visitors access to all speakers and activities for the day. You will also receive a one year membership to Green America and Global Exchange as well as a subscription to Ode and Natural Solutions. The $15 weekend pass gives visitors access to all speakers and activities on both days of the festival. The $100 festival pass provides admission for two good for both days of the festival. In addition, you will also receive one organic and sweatshop-free t-shirt; ten percent discount at Green Festival Store and Global Exchange booth; reserved main stage seating; behind-the-scenes tour of greening operations; and an invitation to the donor reception.

The Chicago 2010 Green Festival will feature over 300 eco-friendly exhibitors. The Green Festival takes being green seriously and provides an event that focuses on being green behind the scenes. What steps did Green Festival take to assure this was a green event? Examples of green provisions include: providing E-waste bins for participants to recycle their electronic devices; every plate, spoon, fork, knife, napkin and cup is made from one hundred percent biodegradable materials; the event is “plastic water bottle-free”; exhibitors are carefully screened to make sure they are committed to being sustainable in their business practices; all festival collateral materials are made from one hundred percent recycled materials; and the Green Festival offsets its electricity emissions with renewable energy.
Green Festival will feature over 120 speakers presenting a multitude of eco-friendly living suggestions.
Both days of the festival are packed full of over 120 artists and speakers presenting valuable information for living a sustainable life. Speakers include: award-winning journalist Amy Goodman presenting “Breaking the Sound Barrier,” in which she takes a look at those who have made an impact in their communities by organizing movements for a better world. Another in demand speaker will be Cecelia M. Ungari and her presentation titled “Green Parenting 101.” In this session, Ungari will discuss how to feed your family in a more healthful manner, rid your home of toxic toys and house cleaners, as well as other sustainable tips and practices.
Green Festival hours
The Green Festival takes place on May 22nd and 23rd at Navy Pier. The festival is open on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Hours on Sunday are 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Navy Pier is located at 600 E Grand Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611.
