Great Cocktail Rings Under $75

by itchyfish

Cocktail rings are one of the hottest fashion and jewelry accessories on the runways and in stores. Some of the bold hand-grabbers in the displays cost as much if not more than fine jewelry, but if you know where to look, you can find some fabulous, funky rings for less than $75.

QVC (www.qvc.com) is one place to find affordable, fun cocktail rings. Kenneth Jay Lane, whose designs have been used in the Sex and the City films, has a large collection of cocktail rings in the $50 to $70 range on the home shopping channel’s website. The KJL Neptune Ring is available in colors-of-the-season coral, white, and turquoise resin, topped by a clear crystal starfish accent on the side; at $53.50 (plus shipping and tax), it’s a very “now” look at a reasonable price.

Another QVC and fashion icon, Nolan Miller, brings a second affordable line of fashion jewelry to the channel. Miller’s Glamour Collection features the Bountiful Baguette Dome Ring, a timeless piece that could have easily been worn by Dynasty icon Alexis Carrington (Miller designed the look and fashion for the popular 1980s soap opera). Clear baguette stones are randomly set in silvertone, making this ring look much richer than its $75 (plus shipping and tax) price tag would lead one to believe.

A third line of QVC fashion jewelry, from popular Celebrity Apprentice winner Joan Rivers, features its own collection of beautiful cocktail rings. This ring from the Red Carpet Mystery Collection features a large simulated emerald surrounding by simulated diamonds for a regal, elegant, bold look. The silvertone ring sparkles at a price of just $45 (plus shipping and tax).

Not all great cocktail rings come from this home shopping giant, however. Kohl’s Simply Vera Vera Wang line (in stores or at www.kohls.com) has a bold collection of cocktail rings. This Silvertone Etched Ring, available in pink or tan stones, is so bold and inexpensive at $16 that you’ll want to get both. The Jet-tone Crystal Floral Ring is another steal at just $18, combining a trendy floral motif with the increasingly popular jet-colored metal.

The online store Emitations (www.emitations.com) features some celebrity-inspired cocktail rings at much more affordable prices. This sterling silver cubic zirconia ring is inspired by Paris Hilton’s former engagement ring – for much less ($49.99) than the original, which went for over $4.5 million. Asha’s Cabochon Cocktail Ring features a center cabochon of simulated Tiger’s Eye surrounded by simulated diamonds, set in an enamel and goldtone “Cheetah” print. The bold yet neutral ring is very affordable at just $44.95.
