Paper dolls are so fun to play with. And with the internet, you can now print out an endless supply of free paper dolls and their clothing. Your children will have hours of fun entertaining themselves with these adorable paper dolls!
Some of these paper dolls do not have the fold-over tabs to keep the clothing on the doll’s body. In that case, your child can use a bit of tacky gum to keep the clothing on, or they can even glue the clothing on or tape it on for a permanent outfit (you can just print more dolls out for the other outfits).
If the clothing does have the tabs, you may want to reinforce them by adding a piece of scotch tape on the back of the tabs. Then they can be folded over without tearing. If you prefer outfits without the tabs, you can always cut the tabs off the outfits then just attach them to the dolls with glue or tacky gum. If you want, you can make your own sticker glue to use for the paper dolls.
Another option for paper dolls is to print the dolls and the outfits on magnetic computer paper. Then the outfits will just cling to the dolls magnetically! And by using magnetic paper, your kids can play with their paper dolls on the refrigerator or on a cookie sheet (great for travel). You can find magnetic computer paper at an office supply store or a craft store.
You may want to print the dolls themselves on card stock to make them more sturdy. Or you can print them on computer paper then glue them to light weight cardboard like a cereal box before you cut the dolls out. To make super sturdy paper dolls, you can cut them out from several layers of cardboard.
