While searching for free printable floral embroidery patterns, I came across a link for some free printable Brazilian embroidery patterns. Since I didn’t know anything about Brazilian embroidery, I decided to write about it in a separate article.
While reading through the information I found on the Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery International Guild website, I learned a lot about this type of embroidering. I still wasn’t quite sure what it was and found some more information about Brazilian embroidering.
I have listed all the websites, I thought would be as helpful to you as they were to me throughout the article. Be sure to check out all the links to learn what I have about this type of embroidering.
What is Brazilian Embroidery?
In short, Brazilian embroidery is a three-dimensional style of embroidering. It uses rayon fibers of different weights and the designs are stitch in a different fashion than regular embroidering most of us learned to do.

There is a spreadsheet for you to use to help keep track of the threads being used in the Brazilian embroidery patterns listed below. There is a spreadsheet for Microsoft Excel users and one for those who don’t use Microsoft Excel.
I thought it was great to have two versions of the spreadsheet available to users of the website. The spreadsheets can be found in the “Keeping Track of Threads” section.
Brazilian Embroidery Stitches
This link is also from the Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery International Guild website. It has text explaining each of the stitches. There are how to pictures showing you how to make the stitches. There are also finished stitch pictures for you to see how the stitches should look after finishing them.

Below is the only link that I could find that had free printable Brazilian embroidery patterns.
Brazilian Dimensional Embroidery International Guild Flower Embroidery Patterns
There are 10 Brazilian flower embroidery patterns listed on the link above. All the flower designs can be printed from a PDF. Some will say PDF file in blue, while others will have the word here in blue. Click on the blue words to be taken to the PDF for easier printing and instructions for embroidering any of the designs of flowers on this website.
These floral embroidery patterns are different from the 5 on the first link. These flower embroidery patterns stand up further on fabric than the normal embroidery designs.
