Christmas is just around the corner and it’s time to pull out the crochet hook and get started on decorations and gifts. Patterns are available everywhere. We all have a stack of magazines and pattern books in our crafting corners. But the internet is a great place to find new crocheting patterns. Here are a few websites to check out for free Christmas crocheting patterns.

http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/christmas.php This is one of the top sites for crocheting patterns. They have patterns for every holiday and every occasion. Their Christmas section is divided into eight sections: Angels, Miscellaneous Christmas/Holiday Items, Ornaments, Snowflakes, Stockings, Tree Skirts, Winter Related Items (Snowmen, etc.), and Wreaths. From here it will link to several sites. Included on this site are symbols next to the link to let you know if you need to sign up for the site or if the pattern comes in PDF format.

http://crochet.about.com/od/freecrochetpatterns/tp/Christmas_Patterns.htm This website has links to a few patterns. Most links have a picture next to it so you already know what the finished product looks like. Patterns are mostly decorations and hair accessories. The great thing about this site is that if you do other crafts they will link to a couple other possible Christmas patterns for you in cross stitch and knitting.

http://doit101.com/Crafts/Christmascrochet101.html This site is separated into sections of Angel Patterns, Snowflake Patterns, Santa Clause Patterns, Tree Skirt Patterns, Stocking Patterns and Snowmen Patterns. So if you are looking for something specific this is a great site to check out.
