With the way things are in this world and the economy, we are all struggling just to make ends meet. This doesn’t mean that you can’t get your spouse something great for their anniversary. This just means that you should be more frugal about it. So go back to the basics and create a gift just for them or purchase something small but give it to them in a fun way. Here are 4 great ideas.
Anniversary Gift #1- Scrap Book– Create a scrapbook for your spouse. Scrap booking can be fun to do even if you have no talent at all. You can create a scrap book of the first few years you spent together or you can go completely different and create them something that they love. One year my husband lost his grandmother and he was really close with her. So for our anniversary, I made him a scrap book all about his grandma and he just loved it. So even men love these books as well, not something that you would think of, but they do.
Anniversary Gift #2- Road Tunes– If your spouse happens to do a lot of driving, then you can create them some road tunes. Burn them a few disks from your computer. You could do something like disk #1- Songs that make you laugh and place a bunch of songs that you know will crack them up. Disk #2- Songs that make me think about you, and place a lot of songs that remind you of your spouse on there so they will know just how you feel about them. You can use any type of music here and if you use a free place on the internet it only cost you a buck or so for the disk and your time.
Anniversary Gift #3- Hand Made Gift Certificate– It doesn’t matter if your spouse is a man or a woman they will love these hand made gift certificates. You can make them out to be anything that you want. Think of things that your spouse loves and make them up to match that. You could also think of things they normally do that you could do for them. Some examples could include free back rubs, which would be something that they would like. If you would rather do something that they don’t like you could offer to cut the grass or maybe clean out their entire car.
Anniversary Gift #4- Love Letters– I always think this one is a great ideal. You can place love letters around the house. Nothing to long, short and sweet is always best. After each letter, leave a small clue where the next letter is. So you’re combining love letters with a scavenger hunt. It is always fun to follow clues. At the end of the hunt you could leave a small gift or maybe a love poem.
