FarmVille Crafting Cottages Recipes and Bushels

by itchyfish

Farmville, the immensely popular Facebook game by Zynga, introduced crafting cottages to the game, elevating game play to a whole new level. The crafting cottages are integrated with the Farmville Farmers Market, a feature where players offer “bushels” of harvested crops for sale to their neighbors within their market stands. The Farmville crafting cottages use these bushels to create goods, such as perfume sachets, breads, wines and other goodies. In addition to crafting, bushels also can be used to quickly master a crop. Once a player makes one of these “goods,” Farmville places the item for sale in the Farmer’s Market, where other Farmville players can purchase the item. Collect these goods and turn them in for fuel or for special prizes.

In order to produce goods from the crafting cottages, a player must have specific bushels in order to make the item. In other words, you must follow a recipe. If you don’t have the particular bushel(s) you need in your own stalls, you can visit the market to see if your neighbors are offering the particular bushel for sale.

Knowing what bushels you’ll need in order to make specific items is helpful when planting your crops. That way, when it’s time to harvest, there will be a good chance you’ll get a bushel–and then you won’t have to waste coins buying bushels from your neighbors. Another reason to know what types of bushels are needed for crafting cottages is to help your neighbors. If you’re offering bushels of crops that are part of a recipe in the crafting cottages, there’s a good chance your friends will buy bushels from your Farmville market stall, earning you coins, fuel or XP!
