The North West and North Mountain States part of our country are beautiful spans of land. Trees and mountains and hills adorn landscapes. There are also some fabulous cities within this beauty. Below, find some fall festivities to join in some of these beautiful areas of our country.
Bumbershoot (click link here to get to site) is turning 40, and you don’t want to miss it this year! A huge “urban arts festival” with dancing, music comedy and more. You can get a one day pass or a 3 day pass, and there will be plenty of food. Located at the fabulous Seattle Center in Seattle, Washington. This is a great way to spend Labor Day weekend.

2.) Hells Canyon Mule Days
In an area where the ground is bumpy, rugged and tough to get around (at least in those olden days), people who lived in that area of Oregon used mules as their transportation to get around this area. Eventually the mules became an event. Contestants and spectators alike are welcome here. Exhibitions, quilt shows, a parade and a cook off are just a few of the events at this county fair.

4.) Nightmare on Harvard Street
Who would have thought Boise, Idaho could be so scary? There will be ghosts and ghouls, monsters and zombies inside and outside of this event, waiting to scare the Boise – eezus out of you, so it is not for the faint of heart – waivers are needed before entrance. Save $3 when you become a fan of this event on Facebook.

5). Holiday Food and Gift Festival
This is the 25th anniversary of this festival in Billings, Montana, so it will be big this year. Crafts, arts, food, Santa and a Moose are just some of what will highlight this highly anticipated festival. Dancing, demonstrations, singing and more. Showcase your craft or come with he family or friends to enjoy the day.

6.) Snake River Lodge and Spa
