If you live near Oklahoma City, or your parents won’t mind driving you to Oklahoma, then one fantastic program to consider is at Oklahoma Christian University. The camp is open to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. You will have the chance to work on projects that electrical, mechanical and computer topics. Engineering Camp for High School Students #2: UTA Engineering and Computer Science Camps
A second option can be found at University of Texas in Arlington. They have both residential and day programs. They even offer a program for students in 6th – 8th grade. Students will be exposed to engineering in a variety of disciplines including biomedical, aerospace, electrical, environmental, and more. Students will even go on field trips to area business. Engineering Camp for High School Students #3: Florida Institute of Technology Engineering Camp
If you live in or near Florida, the engineering camp at Florida Institute of Technology might be for you. Students will conduct experiments, witness lab demonstrations and much more. Another outstanding program is “Engineering Innovation” offered by the Whiting School of Engineering at John Hopkins University. Students will have a blast doing fun activities, such as inventing a mouse trap out of paper. Teens will develop critical thinking skills to have the mindset of an engineer.
