Eminem’s new album Recovery is due to come out mid June 2010. It was originally titled Relapse 2 to follow up his 2009 comeback album Relapse. The name change was largely due to the fact that Eminem worked with producers like Just Blaze, Dr. Dre, Boi-1da, DJ Khalil, and the album changed directions from what it originally was suppose to be like. Relapse focused on Eminem’s drug problems and since his new album has a different feel from Relapsehe thought it fitting for the album to have it’s own unique title.
Recovery will be Eminem’s 7th studio album and was originally suppose to come out in 2009. It took more time than expected collaborating with new producers, but the Recovery album is expected to do very well once it hits the shelves. Parts of the album can already be found on the internet as there are some promo versions of the album already floating around out there in cyberspace. In late April 2010 a single from Eminem’s Recovery album was released titled Not Afraidto give everyone a taste for what to expect.
Eminem’s Recovery album is definitely unique from his past albums. There is a little bit of everything on the Recovery album. Big fans of Eminem since his first album The Slim Shady LP might find the Recovery album to be a lot different than what they are used to. This album isn’t really as dark as some of Eminem’s earlier albums and Eminem also sings more than any other album in Recovery. I think this is mostly due to the fact that Eminem wants to try and make the Recovery album unique in its own way, and also because he ended up working with a lot of new producers on the Recovery album. Personally I think that Eminem’s song Not Afraid, the single from the Recovery album, is one of the best songs on the album. This song has an epic feel to it and seems to sum up the all of the songs in the Recovery album into one song. It is also super catchy and has lots of radio playability.
The biggest strength of the Recovery album is the large variety of songs. Some songs that Eminem fans will appreciate on the album that have that Eminem edge and less singing, are Seduction, So Bad, Talkin 2 Myself, and On Fire. If you haven’t listened to a lot of Eminem you should listen to Not Alone, You’re Never Over, and No Love. There are also a couple of pretty unique songs for Eminem on the album such as Cinderella Man, and Space bound you should check out. My favorite songs on the Recovery album that I highly recommend you check out are No Love, Not afraid, and You’re Never Over.
Eminem fans may not be very impressed with Recovery, because Eminem takes a different approach than he normally does with this album. Overall though, this is a great album, because it has so many different types of songs. It offers a little bit of everything so you’re bound to find a few songs off of it that you really like. Eminem is back at it again, and the Recovery album is all together a very complete, deep, and confident album. Be sure to check out Eminem’s Recovery album in stores, and listen to some of the promo songs from the Recovery album online.
