How much is a broken heart worth? And what amount should be added in for the agony of finding out the infidelity was so frequent and with so many different women? Elin Nordegren’s lawyer has set a very high price indeed for a divorce settlement. It seems Elin wants $750 million and full custody of the kids.
Tiger Woods Wants Full Confidentiality Agreement
Tiger Woods does not want Elin to release any information about the marriage. He wants a full and permanent confidentiality agreement to be signed as part of the divorce agreement, reports the Chicago Sun Times.
Will Tiger succeed in this request? It is hard to predict that. Elin does not want to sign away her rights to talk about the marriage. But one thing is certain, with his alleged infidelity with so many mistresses; Elin talking to the media is the least of his worries. Those other women have been blabbing to the media since the affairs have become public and they will probably never stop.
Elin Nordegren Wants Full Custody
Elin Nordegren is going to fight for full custody of the children in the divorce. She wants to live in Sweden again. She probably longs for a tranquil life where her kids are with her and she doesn’t have to worry about shipping them out to visit Tiger.
And realistically, no matter what the custody arrangement ends up being, Tiger may get some custody now, but when the kids hit 18 and are old enough to read about Tiger’s alleged infidelity will they want him in their life?
Right now it seems sensible for Elin to have full custody. Tiger’s alleged antics with mistresses were so over the top that it makes him seem of dubious ability to provide a stable environment for children.
Tiger Woods: Wealth and No Caution
The $750 million request sounds fair to me. Tiger jeopardized his marriage, his wealth, and his relationship with his kids when he started allegedly fooling around. He chose to forsake the integrity of the marriage vow. What did he think would happen?
Forbes reports that in 2009 Tiger Woods’ earnings were down slightly due to injuries. Despite that, he earned around $110 million. And Tiger has been golfing for a long time. His new worth is probably an astonishing amount. The money Elin is requesting is probably but a small amount of Tiger’s overall wealth.
And now he has to handle the fallout of all that alleged cheating. Most women would be doing exactly what Elin is doing. After what she’s endured Elin should get at least one year’s worth of his income. Go for $100 million or more Elin, you deserve it.
