Dreams Would Come True If I Won the Lottery

by itchyfish

I’m not a regular lotto player, but if someone handed me a winning ticket, I can tell you that I certainly wouldn’t refuse it. For some people money can be more of a problem and winning the lottery ruins their lives. This is why it’s important to plan out how you are going to spend your money before you win it. These are the many ways that my life would change if I won the lottery and what I would spend the money on.

Getting Out of the Red

The first thing that I would do if I won the lottery is pay off my debts. Although I probably don’t have as much as the average person, all the bills are a heavy burden when I have to pay them every month. I would write checks for the balances of all these debts and then invest some of the other money into several different types of accounts. Suze Orman is always talking about Roth-IRAs, so I think I would go for one of those. I would have to ask the bank representative exactly what the terms are of the account and how it works because I have no idea. As a new millionaire, I would have to become more money oriented and know these kinds of things.

Helping Others

If I went from rags to riches, I would make sure to bring some people with me. My mother would definitely be receiving her own home anywhere she wants to live and probably a new car, too. In addition, if I won the lottery, I would donate money to some different causes. I love animals, so I would really like to donate some money to different humane societies in my area and to the ASPCA. Another organization I would like to contribute to is the Make a Wish Foundation. They provide terminally ill children with a wish of their choosing. I think it’s a very important group that does great work.

Purchases

Winning the lottery would definitely be a blessing and there are many things that I could buy with a big load of money. I would probably buy a new house somewhere far away from where I currently live. I would like to live somewhere warm, but not in a place with a lot of dangerous weather, like hurricanes or tornadoes. A new car is a necessity for anyone who wins the lottery. I would buy one of those new Dodge Chargers in black.

Quit my Day Job

When I win all of this money, I won’t need to work anymore. I will be able to dedicate all of my time to my dream of becoming a world-famous writer. I will hire assistants to help me research topics and to run errands for me. I don’t want any tedious life tasks to cut into my writing time. I would also have a cleaner and a personal chef, so those things would be taken care of, too. With all my new free time, I will be able to write an American classic and be written into the book of literary history.

Start a Family

The most important part of my little rag to riches story is getting married and starting a family. At this point, things like credit scores and not having enough money for a wedding ceremony, won’t get in the way anymore. My boyfriend and I will get married during an extremely extravagant, but intimate ceremony. We will have at least five beautiful blue-eyed children.

These are the ways that my life would change if I won the lottery. My life would be enriched in lots of ways and I hope that the things I do for other people would enrich their lives, also. Maybe I should start playing today because, “Hey, you never know.”
