Something’s fishy with the Shannon Price and Gary Coleman marriage: It’s quite possible that Shannon Price, 28, married the late Gary Coleman (who passed at 42) for his money. “Showbiz Tonight” on June 4 aired clips from an interview with Shannon Price, and she made a few statements that can easily bring to mind the proverbial gold-digging woman.
“How am I going to survive?” asks Shannon Price rhetorically to the interviewer, after stating that she has no funds for the funeral expenses and hopes that donations will come in. Well, I have a suggestion for Shannon Price: GET A JOB.
What has she been doing all these years if she hasn’t been working? Living off of Gary Coleman, that’s for sure. When they first married, he was involved in many projects and was marketable. Though not the wealthiest man in Hollywood, Gary Coleman indeed quite possibly represented financial security for Shannon Price, who reportedly has a seizure disorder.
However, people with seizure disorders DO have jobs. But let’s assume that medications don’t work for Shannon Price, and let’s assume that for whatever reason, she’s not able to have constant companionship with a “seizure dog,” a service dog trained to detect seizures in advance long enough to allow the person to make ample preparations for the event.
With the explosion of the Internet, why hasn’t Shannon Price figured out a way to earn money from home so that she’d have some financial independence from an ailing man whom she had to have known wasn’t the best candidate for a long, marketable life? Apparently, this woman has been doing nothing throughout her marriage to Gary Coleman, such that now, she’s wondering, “How am I going to survive?”
I smell a rat here, because this woman did not come across as sincere or heartbroken over Gary Coleman’s death in that interview. She came across as a b—-. She wasn’t the least bit shaken up; no tears; no tremoring voice; no soul. On one hand, it’s easy to ask, Why should she be grief-stricken; they were divorced and maybe no longer loved each other.
On the other hand, Shannon Price and Gary Coleman, despite the divorce, had been going around “masquerading” as husband and wife.
Shannon Price made a really stupid comment in the interview, to paraphrase: “How could I have pushed him (and cause the fatal fall) if I was upstairs in the house and he was downstairs?”
Was this woman kidding when she said this? Here’s my answer: Miss Price, Dear, you could have walked down the stairs to the first level and then pushed him! Like, did this woman really think that viewers would not consider the use of the staircase to get from the second floor to the first floor?
And why did Gary Coleman marry this buck-toothed sponge anyways? Here was a man with life-threatening health problems who stood only 4-8, wasn’t the most handsome, and knew his marketability would be short-lived as he grew older. So when this much younger thing came along…how could he resist? He wanted that younger trophy wife.
Currently, the authorities don’t suspect anything suspicious in Cary Coleman’s “accident,” but have you heard the 9-1-1 call that Shannon Price made? She keeps talking about herself and shows no interest in staying by Gary Coleman’s side to assist him after the fall. Her excuse? “I don’t want to be traumatized,” and she doesn’t like the sight of blood. Thank God this woman doesn’t have children.
