It was written that stars are the windows to Heaven. If that is true then David Archuleta is the door that opens Heaven.
David Archuleta is special in many ways, but I suspect only a few can really feel who he is and how he brings so many people together in faith. His talent has brought him to the forefront of the world and his faith has kept him on target with all the responsibility that it brings. Family has inspired him, friends have encouraged him, fans have supported him, life’s experiences challenged him, and his faith has always sustained him.
I am not sure what to expect from David’s book, well written, well thought out and enlightened on many experiences through his journey in life. One important virtue he has is his insight of self-awareness of who he is and how he measure goodness, faith and truth with the ability to understand that service to others brings happiness, wealth and success.
David has discovered that a spiritual presence in his life has much to do with an inner heart and discipline and understanding that “there is a law”, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundation of this world upon which all blessings are predicated.
A recent interview with, David Burger – The Salt Lake City Tribune stated that David said he spent the most time on the spiritual parts of the book, and said writing and distributing books is like his mission. “It’s very much like a missionary experience for me, “he said.
Nothing happens as expected and true success only comes from learning to serve while you are waiting. The Missionary experience can be “faith promoting” and help a person become more steadfast in his or her faith. When you apply principles learned in the mission field, you are prone to feel the spirit and the Lord’s love more than ever before in your life.
As you obey god, He blesses you. He give you power to meet life’s challenges and helps you change the desire of your heart. Being a missionary is not a short lived adventure of a few months or years. It is a commitment to God and His people and I am sure David feels that he can contribute something to everyone.
It takes someone with great character to understand the important things in life are the people who touched our lives. Sometimes we do not need to look any further than within our own circle of family and friends. At other times, we are inspired by those we know only in name.
David listens to his heart where he finds his spiritual strength and happiness and knows everything happens for a reason and that we are all connected. Many lives have been changed because of David’s influence, mine included, and we all have him to thank for inspiring us to be better people. I am looking forward to reading his spiritual journey.
