ABC must really want people to watch their upcoming summer reality show Bachelor Pad. The show, featuring Bachelor and Bachelorette rejects, premieres next Monday on ABC. The bait? The network has announced that the highly anticipated Dancing With the Stars season 11 cast announcement will be revealed during an upcoming episode of Bachelor Pad.
But the announcement, which is sometimes more exciting than the show, won’t occur until later this month- August 30th to be exact. So who is rumored to be on the cast of the 11th season of Dancing With the Stars? The rumors change daily, but some names keep popping up.
You can read about some of the DWTS season 11 cast rumors here, but some of the names that have been floating around include Jon Gosselin (sorry, Kate Plus 8 fans) , Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and pro skater Johnny Weir. There’s also speculation among Bachelor/Bachelorette fans that some of this season’s key players- including Ali Fedotowsky or one of her jilted bachelors – could be on the show.
Rumors last week that NFL pro Troy Aikman would be hitting the DWTS dance floor appear to have all been a joke. Zap2It reports that the former Cowboys quarterback was just kidding when he dished about appearing on Dancing With the Stars to a TMZ reporter. Doesn’t Troy know that the DWTS cast is serious business?
One thing I’d bet on is someone from the Bachelor franchise will be on the show, most likely someone from this season of Bachelor Pad. Since the announcement is being made during an episode of Bachelor Pad, I’d think there’s a tie- in there somewhere.
Here is the complete Bachelor Pad cast lineup, but DWTS contenders could include the popular Kiptyn Locke, the girl who keeps on popping up on everything Bachelor-related, Jessie Sulidis, or the rainbow-spewing Jake Pavelka reject, Tenley Molzahn (although she does have some prior dance experience).
