Week 6 brings the Samba and the Argentine Tango to the dance floor and a swing dance marathon in which lifts were allowed. Seven couples learned 2 new routines and every one of them brought more to the floor than in previous weeks.
A really fun look behind the scenes at what rehearsal day is like for the stars, their partners and the hosts can be seen at Oprah.com. The celebs dish on costumes, spray tans, hair extensions and even make to enhance the abs of the male dancers. Who would’ve thought?
For the gossip columns, TheHollywoodGossip.com reports undisclosed sources as saying the cast and crew of DWTS was relieved to have Kate Gosselin gone. The reality star came to the show with a diva-like persona and established rules that included how she was to be approached and that crew members could not look at her. The show is said to be more relaxed since her departure. Duh! Even though the rehearsal clips are edited to create whatever drama the show’s producers wanted, it was blatantly obvious that she was miserable to work with and she was miserable herself.
The website also has a quote from Cheryl Burke saying “He’s full of surprises. We’re spending every single day together, so it’s kind of hard not to feel that attraction. Chad and I get along great.” And that $22k ring is still there. Time will tell if it’s true love or not.
The swing marathon involved all 7 couples on the floor at the same time. Lifts are allowed in the swing. The last couple dancing was awarded 10 points, the next to last, 9 points, the next, 8 points and so on. The swing score is added after the individual dances below.

A lack of Latin flavor gave Evan his lowest score all season.

Samba with a touch of strip tease (Max) that had the crowds on their feet.
