Dancing with the Stars 2010 Week 7 Preview and Spoilers: Elegant Pam Anderson, Downfall of Niecy Nash?

by itchyfish

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 is set to feature yet another double-dance show-down set-up, with the six remaining celebrity/professional pairings slated to take part in two dances apiece. Each pretty pair will produce an individual dance that they’ve yet to perform, and then the field will be divided into two groups of three for a saucy Cha Cha Cha challenge. Will pop star Pussycat Nicole Scherzinger maintain her chokehold on the judges’ leaderboard? Will comedienne Niecy Nash deliver more of her patented giggle-jiggle? What about sexpot actress Pamela Anderson? Here’s a preview and some spoilers for Monday’s Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 spoilers and preview: Niecy Nash and Louie van Amstel. The comedienne scored solid praise from the judges with her comical week 6 Argentine Tango; Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba noted a marked improvement in footwork quality, which they’d previously requested. Week 7 will see the pair take on a rapid-fire Quickstep. To be blunt, I’m expecting an epic fail. Despite Niecy’s admirable efforts at – and success with – improving her footwork, the Quickstep is a fast, furious and difficult dance. She may have the jiggle on top, but I’m not sure her feet will come close to keeping up. With just six left in the quest for the Mirrorball Trophy, she just may not have what it takes.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 spoilers and preview: Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The flirtatious duo’s week 6 Samba – which featured hottie bad boy Maks systematically removing his shirt – earned a split decision from the judges. While Len ‘Crankypants’ Goodman chided Maks for poor dance content, Carrie Ann emphatically declared “you nailed it!” and Bruno called Erin’s arm placement “spot on”. The ESPN reporter and her bad boy buddy are slated to take on the Quickstep during week 7. It could be a challenge for the leggy blonde, but if she can keep her angles in check, it could be the week’s performance to beat.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 spoilers and preview: Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya. The Olympic gold medalist struggled mightily during week 6, earning just 21 points from the judging panel. Carrie Ann said Evan “lost the battle” with his Samba, while Len called it his worst dance of the season. Look for Evan and Anna to rebound mightily during week 7 with their Argentine Tango; after all, they earned top marks for their week 4 Tango. If Evan can recapture the passion the duo lost last week, the pair will be golden again and reclaim a spot near the top where they belong.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 spoilers and preview: Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood. Although the judges were unanimous in dubbing the two-time bottom two survivor and her DWTS newbie partner’s week 6 Argentine Tango well-played and “unquestionably sexy” (Carrie Ann), they also agreed that she needs to work on her technique. Week 7 will feature Pamela and Damian delivering a Waltz. The former Baywatch babe is a masterful performer so expect her to embody the spirit of her dance with more success than any of her castmates. But given her relative unpopularity with viewers, it could be the end of her DWTS line when Tuesday’s results show rolls around.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 spoilers and preview: Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough. The reigning leaderboard topper’s week 6 Samba left one judge speechless, one revved up and the other seeing red. While Carrie Ann struggled to find anything to critique and Bruno called the performance “superlative”, Len chided Derek for creating nothing more than “a hodgepodge of sexy moves and gyrations”. Nicole and Derek will take an elegant turn during week 7, as they glide around the ballroom floor via an elegant Waltz. She’ll nail it, or at least pop star lovin’ Bruno will say she did, and then the 10-paddle will be waved by at least two judges. But what will Len think?

Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7 spoilers and preview: Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke. Can the NFL star and his object of desire surpass last week’s well-received Argentine Tango, which Bruno dubbed “the revenge of Ochocinco”? The jury’s out. Week 7 will see season 10’s other flirtatious pair tackle the Viennese Waltz. Chad nailed the arrogance of his week 6 Argentine Tango, but can he pull off the soft emotion of his week 7 assignment without trying too hard and looking fake? Maybe. But just maybe.

With the individual dance previews down, let’s take a look at the group challenge. Week 7 is set to feature a Cha Cha Cha challenge, with two groups of three couples going head to head for the best scores. Group one, comprised of Erin and Maks, Evan and Anna and Niecy and Louis, will get together and shake it to Madonna’s iconic 80s song Holiday. Pamela and Damian, Chad and Cheryl and Nicole and Derek will do their thang to a more modern piece, Lady Gaga’s Telephone. Given Bruno and Carrie Ann’s love of Nicole and Niecy and Louie’s ‘lame duck in the pond’ status at this point in the competition, expect group #2 to take the higher scores.

Tune in Monday night for Dancing with the Stars 2010 week 7. Or you can just check in with me. You know I’ll be watching.
