With six dance routines completed- plus this week’s Swing Dance Marathon competition,- the 7 remaining celebrity couples on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars Season10 faced their fifth live elimination on Tuesday night. So who went home on the DWTS Results show?
Judges Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman and Carrie Ann Inaba’s scoring on Monday night caused a major shift in the stars’ standings- plummeting Olympic skater Evan Lycasek to 5th place on the leader board, and placing last week’s 3rd place finisher, Bachelor star Jake Pavelka, at the bottom.
Tuesday night’s show packed plenty of entertainment, with performances by rocker Melissa Ethridge and Flamenco guitarist Benise. But in between the musical performances, host Tom Bergeron began to announce the names of the couples who were safe for this week.
First to take a sigh of relief? Erin Andrews and her partner, Maks. Also alerted of their safety fairly early were Chad Ochocinco and his partner, Cheryl Burke.
Pop singer Nicole Scherzinger and her partner, Derek Hough was also deemed safe, as were Pamela Anderson and Damien Whitewood.
When the Bottom 2 were revealed, it turned out to be Jake Pavelka and his partner, Chelsie Hightower and Niecy Nash and her partner, Louis Van Amstel.
When it was ultimately announced that it was the end of the road for Jake Pavelka, the camera shot to the obligatory pan of his fiancé, Vienna Girardi.
Co-host Brooke Burke asked Jake if there was anything he wanted to say to Chelsie. I was hoping he’d ask her if she would accept this rose. Instead, he got choked up and told her she was one of his best friends and that he loved her.
So far this season Shannen Doherty, Buzz Aldrin , Aiden Turner , Kate Gosselin and now Jake Pavelka have been eliminated from Dancing With the Stars.
The 6 stars left vying for the mirrorball trophy in the DWTS Season 10 competition are:
Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya
Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel
Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough
Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood
Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke
