In his June 27, 2010 blog,Reflections, Fidel Castro Ruiz predicts certainty of a nuclear war if America and Israel attempt to board Iranian ships in the Mediterranean for inspection. He lays out the events as he believes that they will unfold. (Yes, aware that this could be a fake posting, I double checked to make sure that it was the legitimate Castro web-blog by accessing it from http://www.juventudrebelde.co.cu/international/ and it is indeed the real deal).
Deriving his information from news agency MEHR of Iran, he quotes Ali Fadavi, Navy commander General of the Elite Corps of the Islamic Revolution to say, “If the United States and its allies inspect Iranian ships in international waters, they will have their response in the Persian Gulf and the Straight of Hormuz…” Adding the “the Navy of the Revolutionary Guardians currently have hundreds of vessels equipped with missile launchers.”
Castro believes that when the American and Israeli military attempt to board the Iranian ship for inspection, they will be fired upon from both sides of the ship and at that moment there will be all out war, with an unpredictable abundance of ships being sunk in the process.
“It is unpredictable what will become of the other Spanish and Portuguese speaking nations” he continues, predicting that food sources and other goods of the richer countries will suddenly disappear but, less-so in the developed nations of the Southern hemisphere–at least for a while….
He queries whether the two world super-powers, the United States and Russia, will be able to refrain from using their nuclear weapons against each other–but is certain that European powers such as England France, who are allied with Israel, will include nuclear missiles in their retaliations.
“The economy of the superpower will fall to pieces like a house of cards,” he states, “The American superpower is the least prepared to endure a catastrophe like the one the empire has created in the same territory as it started.”
He finishes up wondering what kind of impact it will have on the environment and says, “As for me, to advance a hypothesis would be pure fiction.”
As I was about to dismiss his theory as the ramblings of a sour old man, it occurred to me that the American FBI did indeed just arrest a ring of alleged Russian spies and that Iran is chomping at the bit for a reason to war with Israel to attempt to destroy her, that they are being very defiant about the nuclear proliferation agreements and that they are continuing to propagate their nuclear program against the UN council’s protocols–remembering that powers such as Russia did support them at the UN convention….
