The experience that is waiting for you at Casa Bonita is unlike that of any other restaurant you’ve ever visited. Casa Bonita, which means “Beautiful House’ in Spanish has been a Denver institution since 1974. The theme of Casa Bonita is a Mexican village at night. This is an exciting entertainment restaurant with an all-you-can eat beef or chicken deluxe dinner. The food at Casa Bonita is definitely mediocre at best, but you’re not visiting Casa Bonita for the food, you’re visiting for the fun-filled atmosphere and live entertainment.
Denver’s Casa Bonita features exciting entertainment that includes cliff divers, shoot-em up gun fights, strolling mariachis, puppet shows, magicians, games, prizes and more. There is a water fall that cascades down a 30 ft cliff that echoes throughout the mystical village where fireflies dance in the night. The decoration of the restaurant is so festive; you can’t help by walk around soaking your eyes on every detail. I found myself saying, that’s where I want to sit next time… no, not there, but over there. Basically, there is not a dull or boring table or booth in the restaurant. Dining areas are complete with the design of a Mexican Village at night; you can request the Plaza, Poolside, Caverns, Gold or Silver mine area. My recommendation is to request the poolside dining area.
Don’t be alarmed if you can’t keep your children in their seats long enough to eat, you won’t be alone. There is so much to see and do at this restaurant. My son and I enjoy the cliff divers, Mexican dancers and the flame jugglers the best. The children can roam around spooky caves and taverns or play in the amusement arcade. Casa Bonita has over 30 attractions that puts Chucky Cheese to shame. Except that is, when it comes to the quality of the food. Casa Bonita doesn’t have the best food in town; however it is all you can eat. You have to buy a meal to enter Casa Bonita that is the price of admission.
Casa Bonita is over 52,000 square feet and has seating for 1,100 people. Groups and special events are welcomed. Private rooms and banquet rooms are available on request.
