In 2010, the entertainment world witnessed the full gravity of sex scandals and affairs as revelations of the Tiger Woods scandal continued to unfurl before the world and in the media. After the unsavory details of Woods’ extensive extramarital affairs surfaced in autumn 2009, the Woods’ marriage inevitably headed for the divorce courts. The shocking extent of Woods’ infidelity was only matched if not surpassed by the sex scandal that rocked Oscar winner Sandra Bullock’s marriage just week after she was awarded her well-deserved Academy Award for The Blind Side (2009).
Following the filed divorce papers in Texas ending Bullock’s marriage to bad boy Jesse James officially, James appeared to be on a mission to win his estranged wife back. From Dateline interviews to rehab therapy, the serial adulterer was determined to present himself in a better light in the media that so vilified him. While Bullock’s lawyers confirmed the filing of divorce papers, Bullock was featured on the cover of People magazine confirming the adoption of her son Louis Bardo. An officially single Bullock slowly re-emerged in media, attending award shows and making appearance at Hollywood events much to the delight of her supportive fans.
James on the other hand was experiencing the backlash of his unfaithful ways. Rumors speculating a Bullock/James relationship reunion surfaced just days after the divorce was finalized on June 28, 2010. Reports in the media suggested that the Bullock feared a reunion with James could hurt her career. However, James was spotted getting up close and personal with reality TV star Kat Von D. According to TMZ, the two looked “very affectionate” on a weekend getaway together. Speculation that it’s more than a friendship brewing may be another spanner to a Bullock/James reunion.
Recently, Woods was cleared of false paternity claims made against him by former mistress Devon James. James first made the claim in June, but by August a Florida court officially dismissed the claims and cleared Woods of responsibility. Woods and his estranged wife Elin Nordegren are said to be in the final stages of finalizing their divorce. According to Woods lawyers, Woods is banned from dating during his divorce proceedings. He is also forbidden to have any female he may be dating in the future around the children unless the relationship is serious.
According to reports, Elin will retain full custody of their two children but fears unsavory females being around their young and impressible children. There are rumors linking Woods to a possible reunion with Rachel Uchitel, his mistress at the time of the sex scandal revelations in the media last October. Thus far, there is no evidence of a reunion. Apparently, Woods paid the leggy mistress $10 million for her silence. Woods and Elin divorce settlement stipulates that Elin can never discuss the details the marriage or her estranged husband. The conditions of the confidentiality clause state that Elin forfeits her sizeable divorce settlement if she ever goes public or provides interviews to the media.
Should Jesse James or Tiger Woods be dating soon after their scandalous marriages and subsequent divorces?
